Ed McMahon, Farah Fawcett, Michael Jackson, and Billy Mays. Apparently, everyone who has ever been on television is in danger. I was on TV once (a brief appearance on The Price is Right). Should I be worried?
Seriously, something is going on. This is not normal.
Also, my mother tells me that Howie, the ginger moggy who's been struggling with cancer for a while, probably won't live out the month. So he likely won't be there when I come for a visit at the end of July. I can't think about that too much or I will cry.
Changing the subject, if any of you haven't read Michael Grant's book GONE, you need to find a copy and read it right the hell now. It's technically a young adult/teen book, but we all know full well that teens aren't the only ones who read "teen" books. GONE is like Lord of the Flies with superpowers set in a small suburban beach town. I know that sounds weird, but IT'S FANTASTIC. Grant is an excellent writer; the story is well paced and deftly unfolded, and there is an abundance of great characters to get into. When the book was over, I was sad because I just. wanted. more. And luckily, there is! The next book in the series, Hunger, was just released not too long ago! Awesome. Read this stuff. You won't regret it. :)
Summer is nice because I can read for fun. :) Now all I have to do is whip myself into shape and get writing again on a regular basis. I'm so tempted to be lazy, but I can't do that. Must be disciplined!
Bedtime. Night, all.
