First thing this morning...
I was reminded that tomorrow is my brother's mother birthday. As I transfered from sleep to wake and back again I was committed to sending a birthday car. of course I did not get it done. While I won't beat myself up over it, I might try to make amends by sending a belated-card. Better than nothing right?
Last night we had our annual Halloween party. It was the biggest yet - a bit overwhelming for me. So, for New Years it will be a bit more subdued. The good news is, the cleaning ladies came today and now the house is clean. My advice is having the cleaning people come after the party - it is nice.
Things are pretty rough at work - I keep finding mistakes. Some are mine and some are others, but the results go way high up in the org. and that is not cool because it all reflects on me. Today I was able to finally finish somehting that was due last Thursday. But now I am haven't finished what was due last Friday. I think I'll be up all night.
My son had his first wrestling match as a member of the "A" team. He lost - the other kid was clearly much stronger than he, but it wrestled smart. Now he is feeling the pain, physically and emotionally. We need to get over this "first lost" hurdle so he does not quit. He is very smart but realtively unmotivated and a bit lazy - any idea?
Okay, I am really just prolonging the inevitable - I need to get to work.
