This Russian artist took master pin-up artist Gil Elvgren's work of the 40's and used them as inspiration to make a calendar. 2012 being the "end of the world", the calendar's month each feature a pin-up in the midst of some way the world might end. I just spent a good hour watching all of Chadam, a CGI-animated series done with the Unreal Engine 3 and based on the surrealist paintings of California artist Alex Pardee. Pretty good, and got a few nifty names to do voices (Carl Weathers, Sid Haig, Jeffrey Combs, Katey Segal). If you have an hour to kill, I recommend it.
