Simply Amazing

Nat handed me a DVD that a few hours prior had rendered her in tears (to be fair, she is probably blogging about this as I type). It was one of the Parelli DVD's that she gets monthly. In it contained a video of Pat Parelli working with a young woman that is a paraplegic. I can't provide a description that would do justice to what I witnessed. Basically, here was a woman on a horse who had no control of her legs getting this horse to trot, canter, and even perform a lead change (I only today discovered what a lead change was, it was pretty impressive). To say watching her do this was powerful would be a grand understatement. It was awe inspiring.

There was so much I could take away from watching that. Never question the resilience of the human spirit. Never.
