New Year, New Post
Yes, I am actually posting. o.O I figured it was a new year and about time for me to update my life for those who actually read my livejournal.
As far as school goes, I'm not exactly looking forward to going back soon, but I'm not as freaked out about it as I was at the beginning of this year. I think I've finally found my niche, and its comforting to at least have a heading on what I'm going to do my thesis on. So far the plan is to create a museum exhibit for a site I've been working on before in Darlington. Now doing that, I'm not so sure if I'll be graduating in two years, but given Kiro will still be working on his degree, its not that big of a deal. The saddest thing is that I won't be able to get funding from the anthro department past two years :-( Money is good!
I'll be at the Topper site once more this summer, working for Dr. Goodyear as a lab head or some other such title. Basically I'll be making sure underlings sort through artifacts the correct way so our out of state students don't have to haul a bunch of junk back with them when they want to analyze artifacts. I've also heard rumor that there will be a trailer for this type of work. Could I be working in air conditioning during this month long stint? I can only hope :-P
As far as conventions go, Kiro and I are headed for FWA this Feb and CAN'T WAIT! So many of our friends will be there and I'm a little worried there just won't be enough time to hang out with everyone! We've got a fullllll room, but that's only supposed to make the con more fun, right? We're even brining a few non-furs along who we've described the con experience to a few times. Out of the blue they're like "Hey, can we come to FWA with you?" We shrugged and said sure, after warning them what they're getting themselves into. They even want badges and everything. We'll convert 'em yet ;-)
Hmmm I think that's about it right now...its friggin freezing in this computer room and my fingers are about to fall off. Time to go make some hot coco. Catch everyone later!
