Health or Lifestyle?

Well, it looks like I'm not going to be able to get rid of my FMS. I got a letter from Centrelink to tell me that from October 8th (when I qualify) I will be entitled to Newstart - Incapacitated (as I have a doctors certificate for the Fibromyalgia and other things). Oh goodie, i can't wait.......and the amount of payment I will get each fortnight will be.......

$416.00......yep, you read that right...... Per fortnight!

So, there's no way I can live on that, considering my rent is $293 per fortnight. That will give me just over $50 a week to pay bills and buy food and petrol. So, forget about health issues, I just have to go out and work and live with this until it pushes me over the edge.

So, I'm updating my CV today and applying for jobs. Hopefully I'll be able to find something local so that I don't have the added stresses of travel.

I had hoped that I wouldn't need to go to Centrelink, but as I wrote in a comment in a different thread, this is taking longer than I thought it would to try and overcome. Imagine Chronic Fatigue but with intense pain thrown in, then you might be on the right track. I'll continue trying to get rid of this nasty thing and hopefully I can win the war, but I was kidding myself thinking I could do it in 3 months!
