Survived! XD
I only had two classes today, one from 11-12:15 and one from 2-3:15 ^^
But I had to wake up at 8:30 so I could get ready and have a chance to get breakfast since i wouldn't be able to get lunch (breakfast is from 6:30-9:30, and lunch is from 11:30-1:30)
After breakfast I tried to score a couple of Dir en Grey tickets, but they TOOK DOWN THE SINGLE DAY ONES >(
(...i was debating whether i wanted to spend the extra 25 and get a shirt, but now i guess that decision was made for me -.-')
So no I have to score tickets on Saturday when they go on sale -.-' *sigh*
Anyways, I left at 10:10 for class (since i didn't know how long it would take me to get to class from here...it ended up taking me just over half an hour i think). My first class with Bodiford is Religious Life in Modern Japan. ...he seems ok, if a bit boring XD I took two pages of typed notes...gosh he talks like crazy haha D;
It turns out Mabel, Chi, and
fakeplasticblah are in my class, so YAY :)
After class, Mabel left to go work out stuff with her moving to a new apt (after one day yipes!) and Chi and I went to Ackerman Union where we were lucky enough to find seats in the store to wait until our next class. While trying to get there we had to dodge a bunch of the walk-out protesters. (I'm sorry, it's the first day of school and i am not about to walk out on a class i could get dropped from, that'd just endanger my being able to graduate on time >.>' )
So... while at Ackerman I ended up getting a mango green tea from their tea place...but it's just not the same as Tea Station or the like, not a strong enough tea or mango flavour >< (and that was like my 3rd choice since apparently they dont have anything on the menu -.-' )
Around 1:30 we headed for our 2nd class (Advanced Readings Modern Japanese with Ikeda sensei) and sat outside to wait. It turns out
fakeplasticblah is in Kawanishi sensei's 100a class (how do you like her so far? :D? ). After the class let out Kawanishi sensei came to talk to us for a minute and kept repeating that 101a is muzukashiiii[hard]! (...she said it like a 4 or 5 times, seriously!) and then left. Mabel came back and we all filed in to wait. Ikeda sensei seems pretty interesting ...he kind of looks like a mix between Kevin (in height, body build and hair) and Lauren's brother Jonathan/my uncle Jon (in terms of face type and furriness XD). He...also kept stressing to us about how hard the class was going to be and if we didn't have the commitment to do ourselves a favor and drop soon. And then we had to read this page of text about why a couple of phrases in japanese are the way they are. Oi. it was so hard D; I got the gist, but I couldnt read a few of the characters so it was pretty brutal...and he said that we can't use dictionaries or anything in class so.... blah.
After class let out, I headed back to Co-Op to find that both of my roommates were actually here (*gasp* XD) We ended up going to dinner together, and I talked to Priscilla for a bit online, it turns out she has the flu, so I guess I won't see her around until she gets better (and she lives in one of the other buildings too so...).
Anyways, since then I've just been bumming in my room, and looking through the books that I do have so far and getting scared 8D
Tomorrow should be interesting >.o'
