second day of school + weekend, and STUPID HP PRINTER >(
So... Friday I had two classes, my classical Japanese class from 10-11:15, and my Japanese poetry and philosophy class from 2-4:50, both with the Professor Marra. I sat somewhat in the back in my first class, and omg BAD IDEA. The man is charming enough, but he's so quiet it's very hard to hear him :( He seems to have a softened Scottish accent? but i'm not quite sure.
I think the way he set up class though, I think I'll survive it :)
After that class, I went with Mabel and Chi to Ackerman so they could buy books, and we ate/had Jamba juice :) Mabel left, and I went with Chi to wait for her class at 1. Once she went to class, I headed off to my building and waited in the halls for the Dutch class in the room to finish. This time, I sat in the 2nd row and...things were only slightly better haha D; I kept thinking through class "don't pick me don't pick me...i don't even know what you're picking people for, but for the love of all that is holy DON'T PICK ME ...because i won't know wtf you're asking me to do D;" haha. At the end of the quarter we have to do a 10 page paper on a Japanese poem of our choice. Someone asked if they could do a snippet of a longer poem and the prof was like "Nooooo! Spare me, spare me please *hand to forehead* I don't have long to live D; Five lines is all i want, just Five!" haha, which was pretty overdramatic, but funny XD
As much as i hate him for making me stay on fridays, i really don't think i can hate the guy X(
Afterwards, I just went back to my room and waited for my mom to pick me up. She said to be outside at 9:10 or so because she gets out of work at 8:30...but...she didn't pick me up till like 10:15 D; ...the traffic from Compton to LA was apparently horrendous (...mostly the part near LA haha D; ) I didn't end up getting to Kevin's house until past 11 >.o;
We went out to Tea Station for tea (and so i could get something to eat since the food sucked Friday and I hadn't really eaten), and afterwards just went back to his house for a while before going home.
Saturday, Kevin picked me up and we went to Glendale Galleria (i've only been there maybe once or twice before). It's really nice there! we walked around a lot, and Kevin ended up getting me a new belt at Target (yay :3) since my old belt broke D;
Afterwards, we went to Hot Kitchen for some Korean tacos, and went to Granada park to eat them before going to Lyn's house for some rockband and playing with kitties :)
Sunday, Kevin picked me up and we went to Shao May so he could get lunch before going to Staples to wander around. I ended up getting a printer (because I have to print a ton of stuff out for class, and I don't want to have to pay every time ><' I got the HP F4480 and brought it with me to school to set up...and realized that
1) i'd forgotten paper (stupid meee)
and 2) It doesn't come with a usb cable...so i had to order one online. I never even thought of the possibility that the box wouldn't have everything i needed to get the printer running -.-' *sigh* like WTF?!
anyways, tomorrow is kitchen duty from 2-6. we'll see how that goes D;
