Shitsuji are always fun to watch and meet

Sadly, because of my coworkers deciding to give me an expensive going away party at yakiniku, I can`t go to Toki`s bday party at the Butler cafe. On Monday I found that there was a spot to reserve for the cafe, and so I went on Wednesday. :) Since the menu changes on a monthly basis, the food this time was a special anniversary lunch/dessert and it was the best food I`d had there.

There was a three tiered bento with one box that had roast beef and cooked vegetables--the roast beef was delicious. The next had sandwiches and half a boiled egg with caviar on top. Surprisingly, the boiled egg/caviar combination was lovely, and I`ve never tasted such a perfectly boiled egg. The last one had a chocolate ladyfinger with gold leaf sprinkled on top, a fruit tart, a chocolate truffle, and some jelly substance. The jelly was amazing; it was a bit like Turkish delight, but much softer and had granulated sugar on the outside instead of powdered sugar. It tasted so good, though I couldn`t quite place what kind of fruit flavor it had. The last dessert was a plum roll cake, which was kinda an anti-climax after the other desserts.

Another great thing was my butler, who was really nice and friendly. He first gave me an English and Japanese menu, and when I explained my kanji reading skilz were sub-par he explained to me what everything was. When I told him I was left-handed and that he should put the glasses/tea/silverware on the left side, he said, "southpaw!" and said he was left-handed too. :D He also asked me if I could use chopsticks, and when I said I could, he said "oh, I thought so since you said you`ve been here for 3 years." Pretty sad if I couldn`t after all this time. I asked him later if he knew about Mei-chan No Shitsuji, which is a tv drama airing currently where all the students at this school have to have butlers. (Heck yeah. Sign me up for that school.) He said he did, and I asked if the customers talk about it, but he said they didn`t. Well, now they have. XD

After all this epic-ness, I met jojo and we went around the stores, waiting for toki to be finished with school. When she met up with us, we had to wait half an hour for karaoke *shakes fist* and then did 4 hours of epic karaoke magic. Mukuro killed my voice when I sang his samba song, and I also died during Sakura Addiction. And I also died during Bell`s song. Squallo`s song was great. :) The karaoke machine this time had a scoring system, though who knows how it worked, and the best score we got was 91 I think. I got 90 at "Shura" and "Pray"...I know Gintama op/ed songs far too well. *flails*
