Galadriel and her stupid hair

I hate Galadriel.

Right now, I hate everything about Galadriel but mostly I think I hate her hair. What is so frickin special about her hair anyway? I have managed to work out 99% of Fëanor’s actions; what his motives were, what was going on in that hot little head of his at the time, what events in his life caused the particular act. I understood ( Read more... )

I have to come up with a sufficiently biting and sarcastic letter first, so as to catch Feanor's attention, amuse him slightly, and yet get my point across.

But I will...oh, I will.

Dammit - if it were to anyone else, Feanor would totally be helping me write it. Stupid elf.

Maybe he's into voodoo?

Maybe you should ask Gimli what the deal with Galadriel's hair is. Cept you might get an answer that would creep you out, when applied to Feanor.

Or perhaps was he just being a pain, asking her cause he knew A)she'd say no and B) that it would irritate her if he kept asking?

We in Rohan know little of your strange elvish ways...

And see, now here's the problem. I'm afraid of that creepy answer; I'm afraid that Feanor's reasons may be a little too close to Gimli's for my squick threshhold.

And for all his annoying irritating charming personality traits, I don't think he was a scutch just for it's own sake.

Oh, the trials and tribulations of being a pervy elf fancier hopeless drooling feanor fangurl dedicated writer of quality elvish fiction...

Then I say go with VOODOO! Voodoo wins over that particular squick with me, uh-huh.

..or maybe he wanted to dye his hair that colour, and wanted her hair so he could match it at the beauty shop?

VOODOO, huh? Hmm...how can I work that into my story.

I swear. Like the stupid kinslaying wasn't enough drama...

Hmmm... for what it's worth from someone who's loving your story but you don't actually know.... Maybe his lust for Galadriel's hair had little to do with her but was all about the "mingling of the light of the trees" that it supposedly captured? In other words, he's developing a sorta uncontrolled desire to capture the light for himself (ala Melkor) - maybe not unreasonable given his future obsession with his own creation. (Wasn't he much more free with previous creations? Made them and then spread them around? I haven't read Silmarillion in a while.) Thus, can't take "no" for an answer, the desire not something one can talk about in polite company, etc. Does that resonate with your Feanor at all?

BTW, I love how you start the chapters with drabbles of future events, juxtaposed with the current time of the story.

Oh! I meant to continue... since he couldn't get even one strand of her hair, that led to the genius of actually capturing the light itself in the jewels, vs. just preserving G.'s hair. So, in a way G. would be his inspiration, if perhaps for an unhealthy reason?
And, where is your picture of Feanor from? Gorgeous!

Oh, I stole my Feanor icon from leaward I saw the picture and thought "OMG!!! It's FEANOR." That was followed closely by a fangurlish squealing post in which I introduced my vision of Feanor to the world of LJ.

I don't know you, but I think I love you! That does make sense, because he did become obsessed with the Silmarils more than anything else he ever created and even denied people to be able to see them in the end ( ... )
