Another cool ting about my day? I took my daughters to the park today, we live right by the water, and our favorite park is right across the road from the beach. For about half an hour we watched 3 Orcas swimming up the passage. One was young and seemed to want to play. For a while they were so close you could see their markings clearly and watch the spray from their blowholes. It was fantastic. Who needs to pay for Whale tours? We live on the east coast of Vancouver Island, so things like this are reasonably common, but still...I've never seen them so close. :D
I did see a black bear cross the road once. and deer/elk everywhere. I live in the coolest place EVAR!!
