I love to sing too, and though my voicei isn't BAD, I certainly don't have perfect pitch, and don't do well without accompanyment. *shrug* But I still sing right along with the radio/CDs. :D
Flute players of the world unite! As long as we're tuned properly, that is.
I sing best in a choir or with a few others, I can change the timbre of my voice to match other peoples, so I work well as an accompaniment...my mom and my two brothers have voices that blend well too, especially with each other. My sister, not so much, her voice is always very forceful. Anyway, we sound really good together, like one voice, yk?
ooooh, pretty background/header theme! (I just noticed; usually I view your entries on my friends page with my theme.)
My 7th/8th grade band director was really into jazz. Her jazz band was her baby. So she often picked jazz pieces for us. Well, there aren't a lot of flute parts in jazz music so we often ended up with piano parts or something. Anyway, one piece the part we were given was repeated, held C notes. The whole song. Nothing but extended C's. I rebelled, and she finally gave in and let us play percussion for that piece (maracas or something). Can you imagine?!
Oi, that's horrible. Talk about unfair to the woodwinds...flutes in particular. We were lucky in that we got some excellent music to play, and our jazz bands were seperate so we actually got flute music.
Sorry, there will be no footage of me making a fool out of myself for your viewing pleasure. Well, no footage from them, anyway. *blushes* lol Does that means there's footage from someone else?
The first fanfic I ever wrote, unknowlingly, was a Star Trek:The Next Generation story, and it involved the ultimate TNG OTP, for me anyway, Riker and Troi. I'd like to read that. *loves Star Trek:The Next Generation*
I've done that kind of meme but it was a rather long time ago so I'd like to do it again. Just let me time to see if I can think of some facts that not everyone knows already. ^^
Does that means there's footage from someone else?
Ummm, no?? *shifts eyes*
I'd like to read that. *loves Star Trek:The Next Generation*
Yeah, I dont remember what it was about or what happened to it...I wrote it in grade 8 and it's long gone by now. It's a shame too, I'd like to see what my writing was like before the majority of my schooling.
Yup, reply here, that is cool. I know what you mean about memes, I try to avoid them, but lately a bunch have grabbed me, so there it is. *rolls eyes*
Ouch on the elbow. *rubs mine in sympathy*
Mmmm tea...we love our tea too. My hubby is Scottish and he was raised on tea. Right now my favorite is Earl Grey Vanilla, but I love just regular Earl Grey too. And peppermint. And honey lemon. And blackcurrant. Mmm tea....*drools*
Awww, cats rule! Really, I like dogs better, but Paul is a cat person and we have three. Yup, you read that right. Three.
So...you really are good girl! I have done all three of those things although way less on the cigarettes *gags* than the other two. Good for you though. I totally respect people who have never, like my hubby who drinks rarely but has never gone near the others.
Nice, thanks Maggie. It's cool to see what we have in common and what we don't. Hope you had a good lunch break. *gives you a cookie, they're oatmeal chocolate chip today* *winks*
Oatmeal chocolate chip? Excellent! I'm just settling in for an afternoon tea break, too.
Interesting about Mr. Star and the tea drinking--for some reason, I've noticed, straight, red-blooded North American men don't seem to drink tea. Whenever I run across a man who does, he's from Europe or Asia or has spent time traveling or is gay. Or *something.* Very puzzling, since tea is so obviously a good thing.
Never tried Earl Grey vanilla, but I can see that being a very, very good combination.
And I'm such a good girl, aren't I? *sigh* There are so many things I missed out on when I was younger, and sadly I'm now old enough that I'm not really interested in experimenting any more. I've also never been to a rock concert, don't have my ears pierced (much less anything else), and never picked up much slang. Funny, hm?
Happy weekend! Hope you have some fun things planned. Maggie
Thanks for the luck vibes. ;) And I have to say, I do pretty good with Paisley, although not perfect, anyone who tries to give you that line is lying. But she's happy and healthy and everyone loves her, they always tell me what a wonderful girl she is, so I must be doing something right. :D
Awww, thanks. :) Yeah Paisley was my mother's maiden name so I've wanted it for my daughter since I was 14. So she's Paisley, and boy does it suit! :) She's spunky and original. *grins*
I'm not sure if you knew, but that's besides the point! October rocks...and those September Libras are cool too, I guess. *winks* There's lots of us in my family too, my mom's b-day is the 10th, for instance. :)

How old does "grade 8" mean you were? *doesn't understand your school grades at all*
