owens_mom got me too) with this one. It's pretty cool, so I'll do it. Just one of those getting to know you games! Kinda. So, umm, yeah.
Once tagged by this entry, the assignment is to write a blog entry of some kind with six random facts about yourself. Then, pick six of your friends and tag them; no tag backs. This explanation should be included.
1. I've been a geek my whole life. But I was always my own geek though, and no-one else's. I'm not a leader, but not a follower, I much prefer to go about my business in blissful obscurity. Except when it comes to feedback, them I wanna be the center of attention! *winks*
2. I have three brothers, one of whom lives with me now and one sister. I also have a slew of in-lawed and psuedo adopted siblings. The amount of people I consider family is really extensive, and a bit scary. Family is everything for us. *grins*
3. I played the flute in band and sang in the choir all throughout high school. Also, I sang frequently with my mom and siblings at church and other such events, we were always sought after. I love singing and I do it ALL the time! And I mean all the time. If not listening to music I am usually singing. For instance, when I was growing up my family loved the Sound of Music and boy, did we sing it. everyday all day, much to my father's delight. *grins cheekily* We all still know our parts. Rent is our current favorite to belt out in harmony. Oh, and my father has a nice voice but can't carry a tune in a bucket. Seriously.
Just thought I'd add in addition to this, I have a very nice voice and near perfect pitch, thank you very much, but I am in no way delusional enough to audition for American Idol! (Canadian Idol, more like) Sorry, there will be no footage of me making a fool out of myself for your viewing pleasure. Well, no footage from them, anyway. *blushes*
4. I smoked alot of weed when I was younger, right after highschool (which is funny, I drank alot too, but I was a goody goody in hs, go figure) and for a few years after, and I've been known to have a toke now and then after that. It's not a habit now though, and it's certainly not one I am likely to cultivate *heh* in the future. Just been there done that, yk?
5. My hubby and I only have the one daughter right now, but we are hoping for more, several, at least. We are trying to get pregnant at the moment (okay, not RIGHT at the moment, get your minds out of the gutter!) and we hope to have at least 3 or 4 more kids before we're done.
6. The first fanfic I ever wrote, unknowlingly, was a Star Trek:The Next Generation story, and it involved the ultimate TNG OTP, for me anyway, Riker and Troi. Yip, I told you up there at number one, I'm a geek! *beams proudly* Then, years later, I got sucked into the LOTR fandom by none other than
froda_baggins *waves* who I haven't talked to for ages (no AIM anymore, sorry Froda! Big hugs if you end up seeing this somehow! *grins*) and now I am hooked, line and sinker into HPO. Funnily enough,
froda_baggins got to HP first too! I'm just a copycat is all. *winks*
