Briefly:
*** The Aunt has terrifying powers of bullying persuasion. This morning I woke to her telling me via Bookface that Love Never Dies is coming to Sydney in January. *boggles* And tonight after dinner, we decided we're gunna go see it for my birthday since next year my birthday will be on a Saturday so that will mean matinee performance and then dinner/drinks with people so inclined. Yaaaaaaayyyyy! My god, it better be good.
*** Also, fandom is awesome. Much squeeage over at
spirited_w. My god, I forgot how thrilling it is to be part of a current fandom, even if it is a small tiny one. Still explodes with excitement over something we've been waiting so hard for. Hee!
*** I seem to be going through a very vintage phase, fashion-wise. It was always there, dormant, but now suddenly it seems to be making itself active. I've been looking at vintage bracelets on etsy, almost bought one except someone else beat me to it, wearing
this ring every workday and learning to type with it on, and today I tried on the lacy fingerless gloves the Aunt brought me from Paris with the dread of them looking too Eighties only to discover "Omg, they actually look more Victorian. I LOVE them!"
It's a pity though they don't seem to love meeeee. *cries* It's the stubby wrinkly writer fingers, you know. What they require are lovely long slim elegant hands. *le sigh, le flourish* Sink meh but you're right, for a change.
*** Still in love with Leslie Howard. And rather dreading/thrilling at the prospect of watching The 49th Parallel tomorrow. Downside: it's a war film. He'll probably die. Upside: it's Leslie Howard and Laurence Olivier! How will I know where to look?! *flails* Downside: it's a war film. They'll probably both die. *sad face*
To bed! Writing tomorrow, wahey! Since I spent most of today fretting about the fact that I had no idea what to write and then about an hour before the Aunt turned up for dinnner, I was brushing my teeth and realised I did know what to write.
A most inconvenient creative muscle spasm is mine. Oh well. *beams*
I really do need a Henry icon.
