Computational science

Hi,
I'm an international undergrad, in my last year of studying math and physics.
In my country there're only 3yrs- bachelors, so I've already decided to do a double-degree masters in Sweden and Germany and I'm already accepted there (with scholarship). After that I want to go to the US to get a PhD in computational science (or similar applied math programs- I'm mostly interested in computing fluids).
My stats are pretty good:
-undergrad gpa should be around 3.9,
- I've got a 800/560/5.0 GRE and 115 TOEFL
- will do a dual-degree, that means two MSc in computational math, one of them automatically honours
- have at least 2 yrs of research experience by the time I'm applying, am already 2nd author for a book published by Pearson education, will probably publish 2-3 papers)
- undergrad thesis in numerics, masters' thesis (my future advisor has already agreed) on simulation of some fluids
Basically, my question is: What does it take to get into a top school? Do you know any schools that are really good at fluid dynamics?
(I've got more than two years to prepare..)
Thanks a lot,
Claire
