Reply to professor?

Okay, so I wrote to the group leader at my dream school, outlining my research interests and achievements to date, and he wrote back to me the next day, saying:
-that he would be glad to consider my candidature, liked my CV and personal website, and has/has had many international students; and thinks that I will probably have little trouble obtaining the scholarship I need
- contact information for my recommenders (long story why I couldn't send them in the first place - everyone is so on vacation where I am)
- to write more details about a certain experience I mention
_that he would write about ongoing projects in his lab later, since he just got back from traveling

My question (sorry if it's idiotic, but I haven't seen it answered anywhere):
How do I start my reply e-mail?
*Thank you for getting back to me so quickly?
*Yes, I know you have many international students, and am indeed hoping to apply for a scholarship?
*Wonderful to hear from you (at all)???

Thanks in advance for all your help!

email, contacting professors
