Advice needed
Special thanks to those who replied to my questions about phone interview last week. It went quite well but I am still waiting to hear from them. The professor that interviewed me said that they would let me know in a week. And my interview was last Wednesday. Do you think I should email and ask him about the decision? He was very friendly and informal during the interview.
I also got the admission letter from another university. I got accepted but waitlisted for funding. They put it as financial aid alternate. Do you suggest me doing something? Contact the professors I mentioned in my statement? Contact the director of the program to see what is my chance to get funding? Do you think it is possible for me to ask them to keep my admission until next year when they have funding for me? If I don't get in anywhere, I am willing to take a year off. So it would be great if that is a possibility.
What are your thoughts? I would appreciate very much any advice.
