After looking through memories/tags of "interview" and "interviews" I have a good list of questions to prepare for for an interview I have at the end of the month (in addition to a few questions the director of the program told me to think about). The problem is that I tend to say WAY too much or speak informally and say how I really feel in interviews. Aside from "practice" (I am starting this weekend) and "be more reserved," what advice do you have for how to help this?
FWIW, I'm most worried about the "Why do you want to go to grad school straight after undergrad before working?" question. My answer would be because it makes more sense to me to go straight through before I have time to get too involved in work and am not able to take time off for grad school. Is the wholly honest answer the best?
Edited to say that I'm applying to MA programs in Arts Administration.
