Okay, so do I stand a chance at top-10 programs (in Religion)?
My undergrad GPA - 2.7 (I worked full-time to put myself through college/grad school, the first in my family to graduate, double-majored, and graduated on time, blah blah)
My M.A. GPA - 3.7 (college-wide award in my specific field, worked full-time again)
-taught an upper-level religion class and an english comp. class as an adjunct
-tutor high school / Test Prep w/ area company
-I haven't taken the GRE yet, but am testing around 650 q. 700+ v in practice tests, I hope to pull the quant. up to 700 by the end of the month so I can break 1400 combined (my goal)
-no presentations or publications (yet...)
-lots of languages
-unique writing sample (was my M.A. thesis)
-will be volunteering at my top-choice's museum and auditing a language course with my top choice (I have about 5 friends in the program who volunteered to look over my SOP)
-went on an archaeological dig with my top choice this summer
-one FANTASTIC LOR, two mediocre LORS
So, am I screwed with my 2.7?
