Tution/ Conferences
I'm trying to figure out grad school finances (not applying until next year though) and have a question. Do you owe tuition every year you are in grad school (PhD) even when you are doing your research/ writing your dissertation or only for the first three years your doing coursework?
Also, I'm a bio anthropology undergrad and I am considering going to the American Association of Physical Anthropologists meeting in the spring. For those of you who have attended conferences in any field, how detailed were your questions to the people who's work interested you? What did you say to them? How long did you speak with them for? Did you express interest in working under them as a grad student in the future? Basically, what is appropriate/ inappropriate to say, ask, etc. in a situation like this?
