Oh my! I have applied to Master's programs in Speech-Language Pathology and I am patiently waiting news.
In the meantime, I'm working on a senior honors thesis. Today my adviser suggested I contact a woman involved in our area of the field. I recognized her name but not her affiliation until my professor forwarded her e-mail address to me this afternoon. She is a professor at a school I applied to! I feel pretty stupid for not having identified her ages ago as someone who I would be interested in working with in the future. AH! There's only so much a girl can do!
My plan is to e-mail her and not mention that I applied, of course. Though she may already know I applied! Am I doing the right thing? Has anyone else dealt with this? What started out as a normal task of e-mailing someone has turned into something so scary!
