Back from Chennai

Not a bad trip at all (plus, the weather was pretty decent there), but I could not go to my favorite Thiruvanmaiyur beach this time. I was there for the marriage as well as the reception. I met Bhargava's school friend Mahesh. Mahesh and I went to the same coaching center during my +2, but he was in the different batch in the morning, so Sharath should know him pretty well. Was able to talk to Chaita (he is full of "nice words" for Chennai) and Pallavi but could not meet them.

One thing that I noticed about Chennai this time, which I somehow missed during my previous visits is that, its population is dominated by (1) Hoardings (2) Three wheeler auto-rickshaws. Sharath told me that there are three main roads in Chennai, the Poonamalai High road, Mount road and the Beach road. They all meet at Parrys corner (Yes, it seems this is the same chocolate maker Parrys Confectionery, or so he told me).

I was on roaming and had to take a lot of calls. I reckon it is rather expensive to be on roaming (atleast, with a pre-paid connection). While coming back, the battery of the phone died. Usually it does great for atleast four days. I think the phone consumed too much battery power because of periodic RF searches when it was a PLMN loss condition.

I see that it would be a rather boring week at work ... I will complete English August tonight, wonder where all the events lead Agastya to ... he seems to be a little philosophical at times. I am hungry now, dinner time.
