This year, I didn't actually speak on WAD (World AIDS Day) but rather the day after. It was still considered a WAD event though and I opted for Holy Cross over my other options because I guess a little piece of me does favor Massachusetts. Last month, Nov. 14th to be exact, I along with two other of my fellow Hope's Voice speakers had a program at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge. Our hosts - Hope, Ashley, Jason, Ross(?), and Avery were absolutely exemplary. The night of Harvard, I actually ended up staying in Boston with a friend. It was so amazing just to be able to sleep in a bed by myself and I was pampered a little too so that was very much needed. Harvard Harvard... what can you say?

It was Harvard for heaven's sake. As in the Harvard. It was the school I was looking forward to the most and yet I think I was pretty disappointed. Certainly the weather didn't help, as it was in the 50's, raining, and miserable and we had to schlep the MBTA from Mansfield. The energy just wasn't there... ( Read more... )

The event at Clark University went well, if a bit too long. There was a great turn out and some of the people I tackled showed up. Met a great girl named Eva that seemed really into the presentation and she was wicked cool. I felt bad that I couldn't go out to dinner afterwords with everyone.
