He was also three thousand miles away from a man that he thought he despised until he realized that he wasn't jealous of Nathan marrying Allison, but of Allison marrying Nathan. At the same time, Nathan had just saved the world from a different kind of apocalypse - of the time related variety - and in doing so he realized that it wasn't Allison that he wanted either. He was in love with a man he thought he despised - Jack Carter.
Now, with the world descending into the nightmare of a zombie apocalypse, Jack and Nathan find themselves thrown together in a desperate escape from Washington, D.C., and the equally hazardous journey home to Eureka.
