Wood River is a magical place...
the water is so peaceful
there are turtles sunning themselves on branches
baby geese scuttling off shore into the water after their mothers
egrets standing still like statues on the shoreline
and the breeze rustles through the trees
and you feel transported out of the world into this place where everything seems right
and you wish you could feel that at peace forever
because there is nothing like spending the day under the sun, canoeing down that river with the cool breeze in your face, just paddling for those few hours without a true care in the world.
