So, it's official, then? No one actually cares about these things? :P
Anyway, it's time for the pay per view!
*Images of Beer Money wrestling, followed by images of the Machine Guns delivering the Made in Detroit flash across the screen while a narrator speaks* Glory. Is it taking on all comers? *Images of D-X and then images of E&C wrestling* Is it refusing to stay down, even when you've been defeated? *Images of Awesome Kong delivering an Implant Buster to Kennedy, followed by Mr. Perfect delivering the Perfect Plex to MVP* Is it facing down a giant, and refusing to back down? *Images of Jerry Lynn being powerbombed onto thumbtacks, followed by Shane McMahon's leap of faith off a ladder onto Lynn's chest, followed by Lynn getting low-blowed by Hornswaggle* Or is it refusing to admit defeat, no matter how many times the odds have been stacked against you? Tonight, on TCW's Run for Glory, hardened warriors compete for the top prizes in professional wrestling today. But more than that, they compete for the right to be called glorious!
*Opening pyro, as the camera pans across the crowd. It finally settles on the announce team, Micheal Cole and Jesse 'The Body' Ventura*
Cole: Welcome, ladies and gentlemen, to TCW's Run for Glory!
Ventura: It's our first ever PPV, and it's gonna be a *great* show!
Cole: That's right! We have all the listed matches here tonight! The Anywhere Falls match between Bob Holly and Ken Shamrock, followed by the Tag Team Championship match between Beer Money and the Motor City Machine Guns. After that, we've got the number one contender match for the tag team title, between D-X and Edge and Christian, and our Singles Division title match between Mister Perfect and Awesome Kong!
Ventura: That's gonna be an *amazing* match! I can't wait to see how Mister Perfect takes out that monster of a woman. But our main event tonight is going to be something epic. Something spectacular. A Street Fight between Jerry Lynn and the money, Shane McMahon!
Cole: That's right, partner. They've met in No DQ matches. They've met in battle royals, but now they're meeting for the title!
Ventura: I can't *wait* to see McMahon wipe the floor with Lynn and take back what's rightfully his!
Cole: Well, you're gonna have to, partner. Because first up, we have a match that was just scheduled today by Commissioner Slaughter and his co-commissioner. A fatal four way, between Rhino, Arik Cannon, La Parka, and Ken Kennedy.
Ventura: Wow, a bonus match! Commissioner Slaughter must be feeling his oats tonight! What I still wanna know is, who's this co-commissioner he keeps mentioning but we never see?
Cole: No clue, partner. Before the first match, let me tell our audience that TCW's Run for Glory is brought to you by RisenChrist. RisenChrist, try the Lord today. Also, by the Church of the All Powerful One. Hear the God that has dozens of people talking, listen to Rantin' and Ravin' with the All Powerful Nateboi. And lastly, Bus-B-Gone. Put those buses in their place. Now, onto our first match of the night!
*Arik Cannon's music begins playing, and Cannon comes to the ring all fire and energy. He slaps hands around the ring, before rolling into it and posing for the crowd. Next out comes La Parka, who comes to the ring and poses on the chair before handing the chair over to someone at ringside. Rhino comes out third, alongside Roxxi, who's currently holding a kendo stick. She slaps hands with the crowd, but before Rhino gets to the ring, Kennedy comes running from the back. He hits Rhino with a forearm, and grabs the Kendo stick from Roxxi. He hits Roxxi, knocking her down, and then goes to work on Rhino before throwing the stick down and running into the ring*
Cole: I guess Ken Kennedy wants to make a name for himself in this match!
Ventura: Eh, he's from Green Bay. He'll lose soon enough.
*As soon as Kennedy slides into the ring, Cannon and La Parka are on him, working him over with kicks. They beat him into the corner, and double whip him into the opposite corner. Cannon then whips La Parka towards Kennedy, and La Parka hits a splash. Cannon follows up with a splash of his own, and Kenned flops to the ground and rolls out of the ring. Parka and Cannon showboat to the crowd for a moment, before nodding to each other. They lock up, and Cannon moves into a headlock. Parka throws him off, and Cannon hits the ropes, before coming back to shoulder tackle Parka to the ground. Cannon hits the ropes again, but this time Parka stays on the ground before hopping to his feet. Cannon hits the opposite ropes, and Parka jumps him. Cannon hits the ropes again, and Parka grabs him and hits a deep arm drag before moving into an arm lock. About this time, Kennedy comes back into the ring, kicking Parka in the side of the head. Parka goes down, and Kennedy picks Cannon up. Cannon fights out, and swings a punch. Kennedy punches back, and they trade punches for a moment before Cannon grabs Kennedy and hits a T-bone suplex. He goes for a pin! 1-2, kickout. Parka is up at that point, and grabs Cannon as he's standing up. He throws Cannon against the ropes, and runs after him, hitting a knee lift. Cannon hits the ground, and Parka quickly runs to the corner and hops to the top. Kennedy is up by now, however, and he runs to the corner and hits Parka in the gut. Parka is stunned, and Kenned climbs up to the second rope, situating Parka on his shoulders. He then jumps off the turnbuckles, rolling forward and hitting a forward rolling samoan drop. He goes for the pin! 1-2, Cannon is up and kicks Kennedy off. Kennedy stands up quickly, and Cannon swings a punch. Kennedy ducks it, and then hits the Mic Check on Cannon! He goes for the pin, but Roxxi is up by now, and she jumps on the ring apron, kendo stick in hand. The Ref is distracted, and Kennedy stands up to go deal with this situation! He pushes the Ref aside, pointing and yelling at Roxxi, not seeing Rhino getting into the ring on the other side. Roxxi smacks Kennedy in th ehead with the kendo stick, and he wobbles and turns...right into the GORE! GORE! GORE! Rhino pins! 1-2-3! Victory Rhino!*
Cole: A come from behind victory for the war machine, Rhino!
Ventura: Eh, he had Roxxi's help. Besides, he beat Ken Kennedy. That's not that impressive.
Cole: Whoever he beat, the fact remains that Rhino is going down as the victor of this match. For now, though, let's go to Lauren, who has Ken Shamrock with her!
*Scene shifts. There's Lauren, in between Christie Hemme and Ken Shamrock. Shamrock doesn't seem happy*
Shamrock: No, I don't want you following me out to the ring!
Hemme: But...I helped you win your match on Monday!
Shamrock: After you almost made me lose it! *Shamrock storms off. Lauren blinks, turning to Hemme*
Lauren: Christie Hemme, why are you so set on trying to help Shamrock? He clearly doesn't want you there!
Hemme: Oh, Lauren, you just don't understand our love. *She gives a big, bright smile* Now excuse me. I have to go help out my man! *Hemme skips off camera, leaving Lauren standing there, slack jawed*
Lauren: ...uh...back to you...Michael and Jesse....*muttered just audibly* Holy crap she's crazy....
*Back to Cole and Ventura, who are both looking kind of surprised*
Ventura: Don't they do mandatory psychological testing before hiring people in this company?
Cole: No, but maybe they should.
*Holly's music plays, and Bob Holly comes to the ring, looking focused on business. Shamrock's music plays, and Shamrock looks focused as well. He roars for the crowd before heading to the ring*
Cole: Now, this is kind of a grudge match on Holly's part.
Ventura: Oh you bet it is, Cole. Holly wasn't too happy about the fact that he had their last match won before the crazy woman got involved.
Cole: Do you think she'll get involved in this amtch?
Ventura: I think she all but said she was going to, Cole.
*Shamrock goes to lockup, but Holly delivers a kick to the mid-section. Holly then slams a forearm down on Shamrock's back, before grabbing Shamrock by the head and slamming him back on the matt. Holly goes for the pin. 1, kickout! Holly picks Shamrock up, but Shamrock hits him with a double leg takedown and straddles Holly, before raining punches down on Holly's face. The Ref pulls Shamrock off, and Shamrock moves to intimidate the Ref before turning back to Holly. Holly reaches up, grabbing Shamrock by the tights and tripping him towards the ropes. Shamrock goes tumbling over, and Holly takes a moment to rest before sliding out of the ring himself. He picks up Shamrock, and slams Shamrock's head against the ring apron before whipping him into the stairs. Shamrock hits the stairs hard, and Holly drags him away and goes for another pin. 1-2, kickout! He picks up Shamrock, but Shamrock breaks it and pulls Holly down with an armbar. He floats over, going for the ankle lock, but Holly turns and frantically kicks Shamrock off. Holly quickly scrambles away from Shamrock, lest Shamrock try that devestating hold again! Shamrock doesn't let up, however, and charges Holly, hitting Holly with a clothes line. Holly goes down hard, and Shamrock picks him up and slams his head against the guard railing several times. Holly goes down, and Shamrock goes for the pin. 1, kickout! Shamrock picks up Holly, and throws him into the ring. It is at this moment that Hemme comes running out. She moves to ringside, yelling encouraging things to Shamrock. Shamrock looks like he's about to turn and yell at her, but apparently decides to stay focused on the match instead. He moves up to the apron, but Holly is up and shoulder tackles Shamrock. Shamrock flies off the apron and into the guard railing. Holly moves out of the ring, and picks Shamrock up. All the way up, readying him for an Alabama Slamma! Hemme tries to move to get involved, but Holly pushes her away with a boot to the gut. She goes down, and Holly hits the Slamma on the outside! He moves to pin! 1...Hemme gets up frantically, yelling at the Ref as if trying to get his attention. It doesn't work, and the Ref's hand comes down for 2! She looks around frantically...and rips her shirt off, much to the delight of the crowd. This is enough to get the Ref's attention, as well as Holly's attention. The Ref moves to tell Hemme that she needs to put her shirt on and go to the back. Holly appears to be enjoying the show for the moment, until he turns right into the now upright Shamrock. Shamrock grabs him quickly, taking him down with an armbar, and then he floats over for the anklelock! The Ref's attention is caught by the screaming of pain, and after a few more moments, Holly taps out, and Shamrock finally lets go, stumbling back against the ring apron and looking rather pained. Hemme grabs his arm and raises it, and Shamrock looks like he might rip his arm away from her, but then decides he's in too much pain to care. Victory, Shamrock!*
Cole: That's twice now that Ken Shamrock has gotten the 123 over Bob Holly!
Ventura: And twice he almost lost because of Hemme!
Cole: Maybe if he just let her come out with him instead of trying to keep her in the back, it'd be easier on him.
Ventura: Would *you* want someone as crazy as Hemme coming out to the ring with you?
Cole:...at least she's nice to look at. Anyway, we've got the Motor City Machine Guns in the back with Lauren!
*Scene shifts. Guns with Lauren*
Lauren: Motor City Machine Guns, tonight you have what some are calling the toughest match of your career. How do you feel being here tonight?
Sabin: Well, I do have to say...
*From the background, D-X walks up, interrupting*
HHH: That you're as limp as the Detroit Auto Industry?
HBK: That D-X is packing more steel in their pants than the entire city of Detroit during the 1980's?
Sabin: *Looks at the two with a bemused expression* Oh, I'm sorry. Were you guys under the impression that you mattered around here?
HBK: *Grabs the microphone from Lauren* Listen you little punks. I don't think you appreciate who you're dealing with here. We are D Generation X. I am Shawn Michaels, I have literally done it all in this business. This is Hunter Hurst Helmsley, who has more skill in his pinky finger than you have in your whole body.
Shelly: And yet somehow, you two *still* managed to lose the semi-final match. Good job! *Shelly and Sabin give broad smiles and thumbs up, before patting D-X on the shoulder and simply walking off. HBK and HHH look righteously annoyed for a moment, before shoving the microphone back at Lauren and walking off.*
Lauren: *Makes a tense face before looking at the camera* Back to you, Michael and Jesse.
*Scene shifts*
Cole: Well, it looks like D-X has a chip on their shoulder about the Guns advancing over them.
Ventura: As well they should! They won that match, and Slaughter should have kept out of it!
Cole: If you recall, partner, D-X cheated in that match and the Commissioner only reversed the decision because he saw it and the ref didn't.
Ventura: Doesn't matter, Cole. If you can pull it off and not get caught, it's all legal.
Cole: And D-X didn't pull it off.
*The Guns music plays, and the Guns come from the back. The pose on the ramp, before running into the ring and hopping onto the second turnbuckle to showboat for the crowd. Beer Money's music begins playing, and they come out to the ring, Roode on the beer scooter this time and Storm walking with beer in hand. They drop their supplies off at the announce table before heading into the ring. Shelly and Storm start it off, and the bell rings. They lockup, and Storm powers Shelly into a headlock, and then a headlock takedown. Shelly swings his legs around to apply a head scissors. Storm pushes out, and they're both to their feet. They lockup again, this tiem with Shelly putting Storm into a headlock. Storm pushes him off, and Shelly hits the ropes. He goes for a shoulder tackle, but Storm overpowers him, and knocks him down. Shelly keeps tot he ground, making Storm jump him and hit the ropes again, before jumping up and taking Storm down with a dropkick. Shelly poses for the crowd, and then hits the tag to Sabin. Storm is up, and they move to lockup. Storm pulls off an arm wrench, and Sabin sells for a moment before flipping forward, spinning, and flipping around to reverse into an arm wrench of his own. He then hits an arm drag, and hits a second one as soon as Storm is on his feet. He goes for a pin, Storm kicks out immediately. Storm scrambles to the corner, and Roode is there to console him and pour beer in his mouth. They discuss for a few moments, before Roode nods and steps into the ring. Sabin goes for a lockup, but Storm delivers a knee to the gut followed by a forearm to the back. He throws Sabin into the corner, and begins working Sabin over, making frequent tags to Storm. After a few minutes, Storm whips Sabin to the ropes, and Sabin ducks a clothesline. He hits the other ropes, and hits Storm with a flying forearm. They're both up, but Sabin manages to be just a touch quicker, and kicks Storm in the midsection. He puts Storm in a reverse russian legsweep position, and Shelly hops to the top rope, and delivers a drop kick to Storm's back before Sabin pulls Storm down. Hot tag to Shelly, and Shelly runs in and hits Roode with a forearm, knocking Roode from the apron. He picks up Storm, and sends Storm into the corner. Sabin comes out, and Shelly whips Sabin to Storm. Sabin jumps at the last moment and hits a flying forearm. Shelly follows quickly, hitting his own flying forearm mere seconds later. Storm drops to a sitting position, and Sabin comes back around, this time jumping and delivering a hesitation dropkick before rolling away and posing for the crowd along with Shelly. Roode is in, however, and Sabin runs at him. Roode catches Sabin and spins him around for a AA style spinebuster. Sabin rolls out of the ring, and Shelly moves to swing a punch at Roode. Roode ducks it, and takes Shelly down with a double leg takedown, keeping hold of his legs. Storm positions himself behind Roode, and Roode falls back, throwing Shelly right into Storm, who delivers a DDT. Pin, 1-2, kickout. Storm picks up Shelly, but Shelly fights out, delivering a kick to the back of the knee, followed by a quick kick to the gut, and then he grabs Storm's head and signals for the sliced bread #2. Roode cuts it off. Sabin is back in the ring, and grabs Roode and sends him to the ropes before following with a clothesline and knocking Roode over the top rope. And that's the moment D-X comes down from the back. Sabin turns, runs across the ring, and dives over the top rope, hitting a suicide palancha and taking both members of D-X down. Shelly trades punches with Storm, before once more grabbing him and signaling for the sliced bread #2. Once again, Roode breaks it up, but this time grabs Shelly for a suplex. He picks Shelly up, delivers him right to Storm, and...DWI! Storm pins, Sabin tries to get back up to get into the ring, but HHH grabs him and hits a Pedigree. 1-2-3, victory for Beer Money. Beer money is handed the belts by the Ref, beautiful red straps with gold plates, and they hold it up for all the crowd to see!*
Cole: No! D-Generation X just cost the Motor City Machine Guns the tag team titles! This is a travesty!
Ventura: Let's be fair, Cole. They just came out to ringside. Chris Sabin was the one who had to attack them.
Cole: They never should have been out at ringside in the first place! I hope...I *pray* that Commissioner Slaughter does something about this!
Ventura: I don't see why he should! The Guns would have won that match if Sabin hadn't decided to commit an unprovoked attack!
Cole: Well, while we take care of things out here, Lauren is standing by with the two wrestlers who will meet tonight for the TCW Single division title.
*Scene shifts. Lauren stands by with Mr. Perfect and Awesome Kong and Raisha Saeed*
Lauren: Mister Perfect, Awsome Kong, thank you for meeting with...
Saeed: *Grabs the microphone from Lauren* SILENCE! *She stares at Mr. Perfect* You! You claim perfection! But Awesome Kong is a perfect monster! You have no hope of defeating her! NO HOPE! *She shoves the microphone back at Lauren, and she and Kong head off. Kong pauses only a moment to draw her thumb slowly across her throat while staring at Perfect.*
Perfect: *He swallows heavily, looking a little worried* Well...that was...informative.
Lauren: At six one, two hundred and seventy pounds, do you think you *do* have any hope of beating Awesome Kong?
Perfect: *He gives a light shrug, and then gives his trademark smug smirk* There's always hope, Lauren. I mean, come on. I'm Mister Perfect. I'm a second generation wrestler, and, more importantly, I was grown and bred right here, in Minnesota. *Crowd pop!* I'm sure it'll be a tough fight, but let's look at my accomplishments since coming to TCW. I've beaten MVP, who was one of the longest reigning champions in the last promotion he worked with. I've defeated the legendary Johnny Saint, who's probably got more wrestling skill in his pinky toe than Awesome Kong has in her whole body. All Kong's got over me is size and strength. But, well, let's just remember the story of David and Goliath. *He smiles, pats Lauren in a friendly manner on the shoulder, and then walks off*
Lauren: Hopeful words from the hometown hero. Back to you, Michael and Jesse.
*Scene shifts*
Cole: We've just received word that Commissioner Slaughter is coming to the ring!
Ventura: If he does anything to take those titles away from Beer Money, I'm gonna be pissed.
Cole: That's a good question there, partner. Beer Money didn't do anything wrong! Do you punish them because of D-X's interference?
*Slaughter's music plays, and down to the ring comes Slaughter, dressed in his white suit jacket outfit. He steps into the ring, and grabs a microphone*
Slaughter: I want all the tag teams currently signed with TCW out here to the ring. Right. Now!
*No entrance music plays. All the tag teams filter out of the back in kind of a mass. Beer Money has the titles around their waist, and Storm is drinking a beer. The Guns are still looking a little pained, and shooting glares at D-X. D-X looks smug. E&C are simply confused. They filter into the ring, and Edge grabs a microphone*
Edge: Hey, why are *we* out here? We've got a match to get ready for!
Christian: Yeah, these people are gonna be pissed if they don't get their five second pose.
Slaughter: SHUT UP, MAGGOTS! *He stares at everyone for a moment, to make sure they'll follow orders, and then clears his throat* Now. As you might have noticed, we had a bit of a situation out here during the tag title match. You may have also noticed, I like to run a clean ship out here. I don't *like* questionable match endings. So I was speaking with my co-COmmissioner...
Christian: Is he as loud as you?
Slaughter: *Shoots Christian a look before continuing*and we've come to a decision. Beer Money. *Beer Money looks apprehensive, and Storm starts to say something about not having cheated* Calm down, Storm. Given my history with D-X, I'm pretty comfortable saying they did what they did on their own. Plus, Sabin *did* attack first. It wouldn't be right to punish you for their actions. So you will *not* be stripped of the titles. As of right now, you are officially the TCW Tag Team Champions.
*Beer Money raises their hands triumphantly. The Guns begin arguing, while D-X laughs and mocks. Slaughter looks to the Guns*
Slaughter: Hold up there, Guns! I'm sorry about the way the match went, and my Co-COmmissioner and I recognize that D-X needs to be punished for their shenanigans. That's why I asked Edge and Christian to come out.
Edge: Yeah, we were wondering about that. I mean, I know you want to bask in our awesome glow of awesomeness, but...
*Slaughter shoots them a stare. D-X looks confused, and already upset*
Slaughter: Because of your interference in a *title* match, you're suspended for the rest of tonight, effective immediately. Unfortunately for you, this means you won't be able to make your number one contender's match, and will be forced to forfiet.
*D-X looks *livid*. The Guns point and mock, while E&C are actually dancing in jubulation.*
Slaughter: Maybe next time, you'll think twice before pulling that crap in *my* wrestling show.
*Slaughter begins to leave, but D-X physically stop him. They begin moving in a threatening manner, but the Guns grab them and begin delivering punches. Slaughter moves in, trying to break them up, at the exact moment Michaels hops back for a Sweet Chin Music. Sabin ducks it, and Michaels hits Slaughter. Slaughter drops, blood beginning to pour from his nose*
Cole: OH MY! Shawn Michaels just hit a Sweet Chin Music on the Commissioner! And this situation has just become a frantic brawl!
*Beer Money and E&C quickly get the hell out fo the ring, as Sabin turns Michaels around and lifts him up on his shoulder. He spins him around, and hits a Crackshot! Meanwhile, Shelly and HHH trade punches for a moment, before Shelly ducks one and delivers a hard kick to the midsection. He grabs HHH's head, and hits a Sliced Bread #2. He then looks to Sabin, and points to Michaels before grabbing up HHH. He sends HHH to the corner, and Sabin drags Michaels closer to the corner. Shelly pushes HHH up to the second turnbuckle, and sets up for the Sliced Bread, while Sabin gets underneath HHH...and then they hit the Made in Detroit, slamming HHH down onto Michaels! Outside the ring, trainers and paramedics are gently grabbing Slaughter, getting him away from the brawl*
Cole: Oh man, what's the status of the Commissioner? He might be concussed, or have a broken nose, or who knows what!
Ventura: Oh, Michaels wasn't holding back with that kick. And if you notice, Slaughter's head snapped back pretty quickly...he could have broken something worse than his nose.
*The Guns, having decimated D-X, stare at Beer Money for a moment. Beer Money holds up their hands, proclaiming their innocence in all this. The Guns apparently decide not to start brawling with Beer Money, and instead simply leave the ring. Beer Money and E&C soon follow, and after another moment, the trainers help HHH and Michaels to the back*
Cole: We'll keep you updated on Commissioner Slaughter's status as we get information. But until then, we've got to move on with the show. Next up, the Singles division Championship match.
*Mr. Perfect's entrance music begins playing, and Perfect comes to the ring,s lapping hands. He stops at someone holding up a sign saying “Hometown Hero Mr. Perfect”, and holds it up to the camera before handing it back and heading into the ring. Then plays Awesome Kong's music, and she comes out with Raisha Saeed. Kong gets into the ring, and the two wrestlers stand there and stare at each other while waiting for the bell. The Ref checks them over for foreign objects, and then rings the bell. They go for a lockup, and Kong shoves Perfect. Perfect nearly flies across the ring, hitting the ground and rolling up to his knees, his eyes wide in surprise at the power of Kong. He gets to his feet, and moves in for another lockup. Once more, Kong shoves him across the ring. This time, Perfect doesn't stand about being surprised. He gets to his feet, and once more goes for a lockup. But instead of locking up, he ducks around and goes for a waist lock. He tries to take her down, and actually gets her off her feet, but she hits him in the face with a back elbow. She turns, and hits him with several chops to the chest, shoving him back into the ropes. She then whips him to the ropes on the other side, and simply steps into his path, ramming herself chest first into Perfect. Perfect drops, and Kong rushes to pick him up and shove him into a powerbomb position. He scrambles out of it, rolling quickly out of the ring to catch a breather. He waits until a five count, before sliding back into the ring. Kong attempts to move in as soon as he's on his feet, but he ducks around and hits her with a forearm as she turns. She swings again, and once more he ducks and hits her with a forearm. She swings one more time, and he ducks again. Only this time, instead of stopping when he ducks, she spins around and catches him with a spinning backfist. Perfect's eyes roll up into his head, and he drops. Pin, 1-2, kickout at the last moment! She picks Perfect up, again putting him into powerbomb position, but he grabs her by the legs and pulls her into a takedown. He holds on, and then launches her towards the turnbuckle. She hits hard, and Perfect takes a moment to collect himself before standing up. Kong is still wobbeling, so he hits her with a few forearms before whipping her to the other corner. He follows quickly, hitting her with a knee to the gut. As she stumbles out of the corner, he hits her with a drop toe hold, and moves to put her in a front face lock. He manages to hold on for a few moments, but she manages to stand up, picking him up and falling back in a back suplex. They're both down for a five count, but Kong is up before Perfect. Kong picks up Perfect, but Perfect fights out. He hits her a few forearms, before grabbing Kong up and hitting an inverted atomic drop. Kong seems jarred, and Perfect hits her with several knife edged chops before stepping back and charging her with a clothesline. She drops, and he goes for the pin. 1-2, kickout. Perfect stands, and picks Kong up, trying to set her up for the Perfect-Plex. Kong shoves him off, and takes a few moments to clear the cobwebs. Perfect, however, moves to hit the ropes, and charges Kong again. Kong recovers just in time to hit him with another spinning backfist, and he drops. She stumbles for a moment, and then stumbles back and hits the ropes. She comes at Perfect's fallen body, and hits a big splash. She goes for the pin, and the Ref drops to count. From the back, Dolph Ziggler runs down the ramp. Raisha Saeed moves to intercept, and Ziggler shoves her away before jumping up onto the apron. The Ref is distracted, and he moves to shove Ziggler off the apron. Ziggler drops down, and is once more intercepted by Saeed. Ziggler knees her in the gut, and then suplexes her, and this cuases the Referee to slide out of the ring to check on Saeed. While he's distracted, Ziggler reaches under ther ing and grabs a chair, and then slides into the ring. Kong is up, tryign to figure out what's going on, and Ziggler hits her in the gut with the chair, and then hits her in the back with it. He then throws the chair out of the ring, and slaps Perfect a few times to rouse him before sliding out of the ring and running off into the crowd. Perfect stands up, and sees Kong stunned from the chair shots. He moves in, grabs her for the perfect plex, and manages to lift her up, hitting it! The Ref notices Perfect hitting the suplex, and slides into the ring, counting 1-2-3, VICTORY! The Ref reaches out for the belt, and hands it to Perfect, who's stumbling away from Kong and raising his hand*
Cole: A...questionable victory for the home town hero..
Ventura: You and I both know he didn't ask Ziggler to interfere!
Cole: Maybe not, but Ziggler did anyway, and caused Awesome Kong to lose! Why would he do that?! Let's see if Lauren can get a word with Ziggler!
*Scene shifts. Lauren is in the back, running down Ziggler*
Lauren: Dolph...Dolph Ziggler! What just happened out there?! You just *helped* Mr. Perfect Curt Hennig? What...why?
Ziggler: *He stops, turning to Lauren and speaking into the microphone* Perfect won the title. But as we know, I *am* perfection. And we all saw that match. We *all* know that without my help, Hennig *never* would have beaten that monster. But now? Now he's got the title...and it's thanks to *me*. And that's going to eat at him...and eat at him...and *eat* at him, until he *has* to fight me. He'll *have* to try to beat me, to prove that he didn't need my help! And when he does? Everyone will see that the only perfect athlete in this promotion? Is *me*! *Ziggler then turns, and continues to leave*
Lauren: ...back to you, Jesse and Michael.
*Scene shifts!*
Cole: Well, Ziggler clearly has a plan here.
Ventura: I have to approve of that plan! You want to make a name for yourself, you have to draw some attention to you!
Cole: But for now, we have our main event to get to! Let's see how we got here.
*Vinette showing Lynn winning the Battle Royale. McMahon claiming that Lynn lost, followed by scenes from their different fights. It ends with Lynn proclaiming “I'm gonna give it everythign I've got, all over your face!”*
Ring Announcer: The following match is a Street Fight, for the TCW Gimmick Division Championship! Coming to the ring first, weighing in at two hundred and forty pounds, from the mean streets of Greenwich...SHANE, MCMAHON!
*Shane's entrance music plays, and Shane appears at the entrance ramp, dancing a bit before moving down the ramp. But before the announcer can call for him, Lynn comes running through the crowd, carrying his title. He smacks Shane in the face with it, and Shane falls to the ground. The Ref rings the bell, and runs to the entrance ramp. Lynn goes for a pin. 1-2, kickout!*
Ventura: Lynn doing the smart thing and trying to end this early!
Cole: Yeah, but there's just too much fight left in McMahon to pull that off!
*Lynn picks up McMahon, and suplexes him on the ramp, floating over for another pin. 1-2, kickout! Lynn stands, raising a hand to showboat to the crowd. That gives McMahon a chance to get his bearings, and as Lynn comes back to pick McMahon up, McMahon hits him with a low blow. Shane then stands up, and takes a moment to clear the cobwebs before grabbing Lynn and slamming his head against the guard railing, before pulling him towards the ring. Shane whips him to the stairs, and Lynn hits the stairs hard, going tumbling over them and landing on the matts on the other side. Shane drops to his knees and digs underneath the ring, pulling out a chair. Lynn gets to his feet right as Shane comes at him with a chair. Lynn ducks, and then as Shane turns, Lynn punches the chair into Shane's face. Shane stumbles and falls, and Lynn kneels down and grabs Shane up in an arm bar*
Cole: A submission outside the ring is just as good as inside the ring in this street fight!
Ventura: Thank you for stating the obvious, Cole.
*Shane sells for a few moment, before moving himself into a position to be able to punch Lynn in the face. Lynn is stunned, and Shane presses the advantage, punching Lynn three more times before getting to his feet and grabbing Lynn by the hair. He knees Lynn in the face, and then throws Lynn back into the ring. He then spends a moment underneath the ring, pulling out several foreign objects and tossing them into the ring before rolling in himself. He grabs up a garbage can lid, and waits for Lynn to get to his feet before hitting him once, twice, three times, until Lynn falls against the ropes. He then whips Lynn, And Lynn hits the other ropes and comes running back, only to meet a flying elbow from Shane. Shane goes for the pin! 1-2, kickout! Shane then moves to the corner, hopping up on the second turnbuckle. He waits until Lynn is to his feet, and then jumps, hitting a flying clothesline! He goes for the pin! 1-2, kickout! Shane stands to his feet, moving out of the rign and grabbing a microphone before rolling back in*
Shane: You really think you can beat me, you blue collar piece of crap?! Come on! Stand up!
*Lynn slowly gets to his feet, and Shane smacks Lynn in the head with the microphone before tossing it away. He then drags Lynn over to the corner, laying him up against the bottom turnbuckle before grabbing u pa trashcan. He smacks Lynn with the can, before placing it right in front of Lynn. He then moves over to the opposite corner, pulling himself up to the top rope. He showboats to the crowd, before jumping across the ring, hitting a Coast to Coast, shoving his feet against the can, shoving it into Lynn's face. He lays there for a moment, before standing to his feet and dragging Lynn into the middle fo the ring. He goes for the pin! 1-2-kickout at the last moment! Shane looks amazed that the guy can kick out, but stands to his feet and waits. Stalks. Lynn gets to his feet, only to meet a punch from Shane. Shane bounces, swinging his arms, befor epunching again! And another moment of bouncing and arm swinging before a third punch! And then he goes for the big right hand, but Lynn ducks it, and quickly jumps up, grabbing Shane in a head scissors and swinging him down. The two are down for a five count, before they both manage to get to their feet. Shane swings a punch, but Lynn ducks it and kicks Shane in the mid-section. He grabs Shane in a front face lock, and picks him up into a suplex hold, before dropping him down for a brainbuster. He then stands, grabbing a trash can and heading tot he corner. He shoves the can in between the turnbuckles, before moving to Shane. He picks up Shane, and whips him to the corner, before following up with a hard shoulder tackle into the corner. That's the moment Horace the Psychopath runs in from the back, carrying a big canvas bag. Horace rolls into the ring, and swings the bag at Lynn. Lynn notices in time, and ducks the swing, returning with a hard kick to the mid-section. He grabs the bag from Horace, and smacks Horace in the face with it. Horace drops, and Lynn opens the bag. He dumps it out on to the ring floor, pouring thousands of thumbtacks onto the ground. He then stomps on Horace, picking him up and shoving him into apowerbomb position. He signals to the crowd, before picking Horace up and hitting a powerbomb onto the tacks. Shane is beginning to come to at this moment, but Lynn grabs up a nearby garbage can lid, and smacks Shane in the head with it. Shane falls to the ground*
Cole: Shane's buddy Horace the Pyschopath tried to interfere, but Lynn was ready for him! Lynn's not going to lose the title that way! Not tonight!
Ventura: He got lucky...but...who's that heading tot he ring?!
*From the crowd comes...Seamus! He hops the guard rail, and quickly runs into the ring. Lynn turns to hit him with a garbage can lid, but Seamus ducks it, and then returns with a big boot. Lynn is knocked down, and Seamus picks him up and then wraps both hands around Lynn's neck. He picks Lynn up, and then double handed chokeslams him down into the thumbtacks. McMahon has stumbled out of the ring, and Seamus points towards the announce table*
Cole: ...Oh no. He doesn't mean...
Ventura: *Already standing up* If I were you, Cole, I'd move the hell out of the way!
*Shane shoves the monitors off the table, and Seamus throws Lynn over the top rope. Lynn goes tumbling, and hits the ground hard. Seamus rolls out of the ring, grabbing up Lynn and rolling him into the table. Shane gets back into the ring, and moves himself up to the top rope. Once Lynn is on the table, Shane crosses himself*
Cole: He's not going to...
Ventura: You bet he is, Cole! Just like a champion! Air Irish McMahon is putting it all on the line!
*Shane jumps from the top rope, his arms flailing a bit as he flies through the air, and then he hits the elbow drop on Lynn! He lays there, out of it for a moment, before weakly throwing an arm over Lynn. The Ref drops, counting. 1-2-3! Victory, McMahon! The Ref calls for the belt, and hands it to Shane. Shane grabs the belt, holding it as tightly as he can while not quite having the strength to get up. Seamus pulls him to his feet, helping Shane raise his hand in the air*
Cole: McMahon cheats his way into the championship!
Ventura: Street Fights are no disqualification, Cole! There wasn't any cheating at all!
Cole: You call having not one, but *two* wrestlers coming down to help you not cheating?!
Ventura: I call it *winning*, Cole! And that's what matters!
Cole: Well, there'll be fall out from this pay per view! Tune in to Monday Night Explosion tomorrow night,f olks! Until then, I'm Michael Cole, and he's Jesse 'The Body' Ventura! Good night!
