I am beyond saddened by
this. Eva was so full of life despite the incredible suffering and long odds, and I had hoped against hope she would get a last-minute miracle. It's amazing how many people she touched; even though I only heard about her a few months ago and never interacted with her personally, I still feel a great loss. There has been too much young death lately.
I have accomplished just about nothing today. And not even in a fun way, like relaxing with a book on the sofa. I went to Chinese, picked up something at a friend's house on the way home, we went to Palm Sunday services this evening, read to the girls (just finished the first Boxcar Children book), did a very very minimal amount of preliminary research for next week's homework and ... that's about it. I don't even know where the day went, aside from an afternoon nap on the sofa (I'm getting so tired of needing those!). The two bright spots: I made
granola for the first time (OMG YUM - have been nibbling it ALL DAY) and we introduced the girls to the first Narnia movie tonight (MiniPlu has announced she never wants to see the scary WWII fighting at the beginning again, and Two has clung to me a few times, but otherwise, they seem to be enjoying it).
On a brighter note, I must thank
abigail89 for the virtual Peep. :-) *munchmunchmunch*
Also, I find it very cool that Shia LaBeouf ran
the Los Angeles Marathon for charity last weekend, finishing in 4:35:31 - not bad!
Guess I might as well read my book on the sofa now, seeing as I've already wasted most of the day. :-P
Tomorrow's my dad's 83rd birthday. Must remember to call. ♥
