Frigid Friday

Will took the day off work to do our taxes (whee) so we enjoyed eating breakfast out after the girls went to school. Then we browsed around the Best Buy next door to the restaurant and came away with CDs for:
* Def Leppard
* Dido
* John Denver
* Jonas Brothers
Yes, we have rather broad tastes in this household, lol. (Incidentally - what are you listening to these days? Why do you like it? Any particular recommendations?) We also bought a new Wii game for Medieval Games - jousting, swordplay, catapults, etc; it's a bit complex, coordination-wise, for the girls, I think, but Will and I had fun trying it out tonight. :D
I made MiniPlu confess her recent behavioral issues to Master K last night; she asked for, and was granted, a private audience in his office rather than falling apart in front of everyone. I would like to say some breakthroughs (or potential for breakthroughs) resulted, but only time will tell. Today was relatively drama-free, at least, but one day does not a happy trend make. Yet. :-P
Free way to financially support a public library: leave a post here TONIGHT and jamarattigan (a lovely children's book author and blogger) will donate new books to her public library up to $200 value - a dollar for each person who leaves a comment. It costs you nothing and will help so much.
And don't forget you can help provide clean water for whatever donation you feel able to contribute; a little goes a long way toward helping a village have safe drinking water. Please consider helping pegkerr give a meaningful gift for her 50th birthday?
(And speaking of Peg - thanks to her, I stumbled upon a cool website and am considering getting this shirt. :D
