Wow, you do have broad tastes in music, although I'm assuming the JoBros were for your girls. I'm trying to think of recommendations based on those artists and failing, but I've been listening to Mumford and Sons, OK Go, the Kaiser Chiefs and the Yeah Yeah Yeahs on repeat for the past month or so. (Links all go to Youtube videos.)
Mumford and Sons is a band that makes just beautiful music. Haunting lyrics, grand sweeping melodies - it's the sort of music that gives me tingles and makes me stop and just let the music sweep over me. The other three bands I love for the beats and the energy for the music. It's the sort of music that makes me grin and dance around my apartment.
I confess that I bought the Jonas Brothers for all of us; we'd bought MiniPlu some Hannah Montana last year and discovered, since we had to listen to her playing it, too, that she wasn't that bad. So I figured, eh, what the heck, give the JoBros a try. If we hated them, we could just give the CD to MiniPlu with instructions she could only play them on her Discman, but it turns out they're not that bad either, for a pop group.
The Def Leppard is for Will only, though. I'm not into that much head-banging. :P
I finally got around to checking out your recommendations and I have to admit - I'm totally sold on Mumford & Sons. I've put them on my Amazon list. :D
