I Can't Watch Torchwood Anymore...
Sorry to anybody who likes the new season, but my whole family has called it quits and I'm only watching so I can write my fic :(
It's just...I'm such a freaking superfan of Torchwood and it *hurts* that I can't even get through these episodes. It's not just the characters; I've watched other shows (Doctor Who, etc.) where the characters have changed and I still like the show well enough (or better. Eleven/Amy/Rory are all amazing), but the entire *feel* of the show has changed for me and I can't watch dramas because they don't hold my interest.
Seriously; all of my shows are sitcoms, comedy, or sci-fi. And Torchwood has just *lost* the funny, edgy, irreverence that I adored about the first two seasons and I'm re-watching old episodes now and it's even more obvious.
I miss the characters. But even more, I miss the fast-paced stories. I miss the off-the-cuff humor and one-liners. I miss the random hookups.
And I miss the aliens.
Again, if you like it, I really hope you enjoy it and that it's great for you, but I'll only be watching because I feel obligated to. :(
