I totally agree with you ... I cant even bring myself to watch ANY of it. I think its lost its soul and everything that made it Torchwood in the first place.

It's especially evident to me after watching some old shows how different the feel is now, and I for one am not a fan :(

I haven't even bothered to watch any. I could tell from the build up it wasn't going to be proper Torchwood. I wish they'd kept the formula they had in the first two seasons. It was a brilliant show and it's ruined now. I did like CoE (up until they killed Ianto) and it worked as a one off. But they should have kept the same formula they had in the start, the 'case' episodes, the characters, the relationships, the banter. It's all gone now.

Makes me really sad! I don't even read or write Torchwood fic anymore and the other day I left all the Torchwood comms. I dunno, Torchwood's been kind of tarnished for me. I still like watching the first two seasons but other than that, I'm not really part of the fandom anymore. Which is a shame.

Basically, I totally understand how you feel, without even watching an episodes.

The promo's where enough to destroy it for me. x

The problem with this is that I found CoE to lag in places and this is twice as long episode-wise; in the first two episodes I could literally have put everything that happened into about a two-paragraph description and gotten rid of all the irrelevant plot points x(

And the show has just turned into a drama. There's very little humor and what there is feels forced, and I'd always just loved kind of the sleek grittiness of the first two seasons especially (there's an oxymoron) where it was just *fun* to watch. You cared about the characters but above all it was entertainment and now I have to force myself to watch ten minutes.

I still love the fandom because there are a lot of diehard Jack/Ianto fans (of which I am one) that still write amazing fic, but I think it's going to lose a lot of the original watchers because it's so different.
