Thanks!! :3

Knitting is actually a lot easier than it looks. You just have to learn how to do a couple of things, and then repeat them a heck of a lot of times... this scarf had exactly 13600 stitches, without counting the casting on, casting off, yarn overs and dropped stitches, plus the fringe... it's easy; you just need a lot of patience and a bit of attention to detail. If you get too distracted you might mess up... though the beauty of knitting is that it isn't impossible to fix most of your mistakes, and even if you don't it probably won't be very noticeable. At least, not this with scarf pattern... which is exactly why I picked it for my first scarf. ;)

I tried before and I failed. I have clumsy thumbs ermm and the rest of my fingers too. XD So, your next project would be a scarf too. I saw the green ones in the galery. They're pretty.

I'm terribly clumsy too, but I'm also stubborn, so I eventually managed to teach my big, clumsy fingers how to handle those frigging needles. I'd tried once and failed a while back and wasn't going to try again, but
somebody (*cough*sparklyfanta*cough*) kept talking about pretty knitted wear, and she made me want to try again... with better results than I expected. I was lucky to find great teaching videos, too... do you want the links? maybe you just didn't have good enough teaching material...

Though I'm not a fan of pink, that is amazing, and I would totally proudly wear that.

Congratulations! Enjoy your new scarf, you should be so proud!

Thanks! I can't wait for the days to get cold enough to justify wearing this; I started early thinking it'd take me months to finish, but now I finished it too early... and people would look at me like a freak if I chose to wear it now. :P

Well, now you know my dirty secret... I actually like pastel colours!! the horror, the shame!! ^^U

Enjoy your new scarf, you should be so proud!

I am, and I will! :3

You're welcome! Is your cold season just arriving?

XD Nothing wrong with that, sometimes pastel colors are nice to look at after seeing only dark colors. *likes pastel colors too*

Good! ^_______________^

Not really, not just yet... well, technically it's autumn, and it should be getting cold, but the cold season is taking its sweet time to get here this year. It was 30ºC (86ºF) today, and it seems that it won't be getting much cooler this week. :P

Thanks! And I'll be sure to post pictures once I get that other scarf going. In a little while I'm going to go buy the yarn... wonder what colour will catch my eye this time...?

And I will take the chance to ask whether you can actually buy circular needles in my country (my mother reacted in a pretty weird way when I asked her, which makes me suspect she'd never seen one in her life, and she used to knit a lot a while back). It would suck if the answer was "no". :P

Wow, that scarf looks great! I love the fringe; I never give my scarves fringe, but it looks lovely when done with the right pattern and colors!

Oooh, and I like that scarf pattern. That looks just lacy enough for me to tackle. *eyes it*

I still feel no guilt, and you're very welcome. :D

Just wait, I'll get my camera working and I'll get you hooked on crochet and sewing your own clothes and beading. *nods* Then you'll really hate me.

To tell you the truth I wasn't sure about giving it a fringe at first, but when I finished it it looked kind of sad (plus my cast on and cast off weren't particularly good-looking)... so I gave it one. I was going to trim it once I'd finished, but I kind of liked how it looked all messy, so I left it as it is. After all, this is a rather untidy scarf; a tidy fringe wouldn't have fit (though I kind of wish I had given it a longer fringe, now). Glad to hear it looks good. ^__^

Isn't it pretty? I'm really not sure if I'll be able to do it, but I'm sure going to try. That's one scarf I'd love to wear. *___*
(btw, do you "do" patterns, or do you "make" them? or is it "follow"? "pattern" isn't on my collocations dictionary. :P)

...I think I hate you already, just thinking about it. :P
(but it'd be awesome to be able to make my own clothes...)
