Update on my furry family

After a lot of struggling, I finally found a home for most of the mice babies (children now). In a couple of days I'm going to wean them and they're going to go to their new owners, who will enjoy the fruits of my labour... but I'm keeping three of them. Two girls (a black and a white one) and, of course, Brandy (who is brown, btw).
I've asked around and it seems the best option is to leave him with his mothers until he is strong enough to fare on his own (which he may never be), and then move him to his own cage (I've got my eye on a really cute one). It's not even going to be a burden on my strained student budget because I was able to sell the babies at a fair price (I was surprised how easily I could sell them when going through the right channels O_o).
And since I've already named him Brandy and because I've got a weird sense of humour, the girls are going to be called Vodka and Sherry. And I don't even drink! XD
I may have to get yet another member for the family as I may have to foster Brandy to another pregnant mouse so he can continue nursing if he needs to (which will mean even more mice babies... eep!) and keep growing, with less competition this time, but I'll wait a few more days and see if he starts eating on his own before going with that option. My tank is certainly big enough to hold six adult mice plus babies (if it is only one litter this time), but I really wasn't planning on breeding any more mice... still, if it means that Brandy will have a better chance at making it to adulthood, then I'll do it.
