Update on my furry family

Feb 24, 2009 20:11

After a lot of struggling, I finally found a home for most of the mice babies (children now). In a couple of days I'm going to wean them and they're going to go to their new owners, who will enjoy the fruits of my labour... but I'm keeping three of them. Two girls (a black and a white one) and, of course, Brandy (who is brown, btw ( Read more... )

Aww.... your names are for the win. :3 I quite like them. I really do hope that Brandy will make it! I'm glad that things are working out. :)

I've got a strange naming sense. We used to have a cat called "Dunno", so that when people asked what his name was we could have a little fun on their expense. And I once had a pet snail called Nebuchadnezzar VI. Not to mention the poor turtle we named Manolo Manolito Manuel Emanuel Nahuel Catriel Canizo. And we always used all of his names when talking about him. XD
Now I have Brandy, Vodka and Sherry. People are going to think I'm an alcoholic. XD
(Well, I have Cathy and Michelle, too, so they should balance the effect a bit. ;D)

Yay! I'm happy to hear that most of them have homes to go to.

Yeah, I''m happy too. I spent a looot of time to make sure these babies would be tame, so I'd hate to think that they would go to someone who would neglect them (or worse, feed them to some snake. >_<)

Of course, the risk is always there, no matter how many precautions you take, but the fact that I managed to sell them instead of simply giving them away is sort of a mild guarantee that they will be well cared for.

And Vodka and Sherry are incredibly cuddly. Sherry in particular seems to love to simply stay in my hand (instead of running all over me and getting lost in my hair, like Vodka), and even after an hour of cuddling while I read, she didn't want to leave my hand and get back on the tank! X3

*pauses, thinks about it*
I had Vodka running all over me!

If taken out of context, that sentence would be soo funny... XD

Yeah, asking an adoption fee is usually a good way to ensure they'll be taken care of, but you never do know.

Vodka and Sherry sound so cute! I love the alcohol-themed names for them.

Yeah, well, I've got a weird naming sense, but this time their names almost sound sort of normal. If you ignore the "alcohol themed" bit. XD

Playing with my pets is the only time you'll be able to mix Brandy, Vodka and Sherry and not get the mother of all hangovers. Guaranteed!! XD
