Do I did and only get the major but not the degree. I got my "official" degree in history but I say Bachelor of Arts in History with another major in anthropology. :)
So... you double majored, but unofficially? Wouldn't it have looked better with the official double major? (especially since you took the classes anyways)
nope, Officially double majored but not double degreed. My university (Washington State University) has two options: 1: Two degrees (180 credits, one degree is 120) 2) Double major, one degree. It's kind of a complicated process but basically I didn't have enough credits to get another full degree.
With what I want to focus on it may but right now the job market is tough... really tough... I graduated in May and have yet to find a permanent job (for now). I want to go to grad school but have yet to decide when and where and what. Right now here's what I'm looking at: Masters in Library Science History with Genocidal studies Forensic Anthropology.
Part of the other reason I didn't do an anth degree is because WSU (my school) focuses more on Archeology and I pretty much hate Archaeology and there were several classes taught by professors that I refused to take from because of who they were. Those classes were required for the degree.
So do Anthropologists. You don't have to be rude about it and I'm not about making money. I chose a degree that I would be happy with and it's something I enjoy.
If by anthropologists you mean people with degrees in anthropology; I don't think they're the same thing.
If I come off as rude I apologize. My second career was as a History teacher; it wasn't exactly easy goings. I hope it's easier for you than it was for me.
