SO I'M READING PERCY JACKSON and it is quite fun. Not necessarily great literature, of course, but it's really entertaining, plucking out references. /devoured Greek mythology in middle school, ok

Anyone on here familiar with em' and would like to geek? :D

I love to read, but I can't help but find myself superficial for liking authors pretty much based on how, well, aesthetically their writing appeals to me. The Little Prince...The Great Gatsby...I dunno, I find myself liking how pretty-sounding their prose is. The meanings, though, enforce the aesthetic feel of the writing well ( Read more... )

So today I picked up The Graveyard Book, by Neil Gaiman and read it in one sitting.

I won't get into too many details of it, but it...had some parts that I could empathize with. I guess I really haven't grown out of coming-of-age stories. Heh.
