So today was the 10th anniversary of my father's death from Non-Hodgekins Lymphoma. In some ways, it feels like such a long time; in other ways, it still feels like I last spoke to him only a few days ago.

One of my poems got accepted into an anthology of poems in traditional metre published by the University of Adelaide. One small problem - the launch is Wednesday, while I'm still in California. But the launch is open to anyone who would like to go along - free wine! - and listen to some of the poets read their stuff, maybe pick up a copy.

Got my results for winter school Travel Writing class - 91% High Distinction, with 95/100 high distinction mark for my final assignment.

Smug smug smuggity smug.

Just realised I only have one exam this semester. Which is good, except... well, except I do well in English and History exams, and when a subject doesn't have exams, it has more assignments.

But it does give me pretty much all of November for working on the film!

The last exam was today, and I think I did fairly well. Also, got an email this morning from my tutor/lecturer letting me know that I did extremely well on the last exam, so I'm feeling pretty good about it ( Read more... )

Second exam was this morning and I waltzed it, despite it being the one I felt the least prepared for. Felt damn good about it when I walked out, satisfied that I had answered with sufficient English Lit bullshit weasel words understanding, insight and cross-referencing.
