Walking home this afternoon past the Royal Oak Hotel, and I could tell they had pork chops on the counter meal menu. Instant Want! So stopped in at the supermarket on the way, grabbed chops and milk, thought - need some veg. Grabbed 2 cobs of corn, and the moment I looked at the salad veg I knew!
So this evening's meal was plain pork chops, pan fried, with mmicrowaved corn on the cob, and salad of curly lettuce, baby spinach, bean sprout, snow peas and fresh herbs from the garden - several kinds of mint and basil, finely chopped rose scented geranium, kaffir lime and chives, whole leaves of lemon verbena, lemon balm, tarragon, italian parsley, curly parsely, marjoram and thyme, lightly drizzled with a little warm honey, some mushroom soy and some apple cider vinegar, with a little fresh ground pepper. Dessert was raspberry Aeroplane jelly and neapolitan ice cream.
