does everyone see crazy things when they close their eyes, or is it only me?
at first they're just flashes of strangely cropped images, then they start rotating quicker and become more ominous. in the shower, of course, it always gets uncomfortably scary right after i get soap in my eye. then the struggle to open them at all costs begins; but even the straining, sun-dried raspberry conditioner blurred vision torture is better than the alternate reality behind shut eyelids.
does everyone realize that conditioner is the same texture as yogurt, and that the creative scents make it even more appetizing? or is it just me? i run out of conditioner so quickly i wonder if i'm eating it in my sleep looking for fruit on the bottom.
my cousins have been here for a few days. we've been chilling and showing them places where we usually chill. they wanted to go back to new york with an alligator story, so we went to our favorite swamp with thighs of chicken and a fishing pole. my trapezoids are still sore from playing tug of war with an alligator's stomach.
except for our adopted cousin, the entire lowest generation of scottis is in florida right now. i'm noticing more than coincidental similarities in our mannerisms, wit and interests. i'm having a lot of fun. a highlight was when ricky and joey argued over who gets to pass on the responsibility of prolonging the family name with offspring. our cousins picked up on insulting dudebros ultrafast, too.
we watched a movie about vigilantes punishing the wicked. it reminded me of how much i've always wanted to become a vigilante and destroy everyone.
the cousins are in tampa for a day visiting with relatives on their mom's side, so they'll unfortunately miss the house show and pool party at la casa nueva tomorrow. it's going to be stellar.
ps. count the number of first personal pronouns. *i* dare you, "his holiness" the XIV dalai lama! nga rinpoche... pffffffft.
