Hurrah, linkspam! Yes, that is the best headline ever and whoever thought it up should get a prize (a box of chocolates, at least). Also, I WANT TO LIVE IN A CITY AGAIN ARGH. I NEED INVENTIVE THEATRE. (Okay, actually, the production of A Midsummer Night's Dream at the local theatre, the one I never ever shut up about, was really quite brilliant. But there is only one theatre and it doesn't usually have interesting things happening in it and lately I have been madly obsessed with the theater and HOW DARE YOU post links to reviews of a really cool and inventive bit of stagework BASED ON NEIL GAIMAN STUFF. AHLGFHL;SLGLDIHG. :D
Also, what? Something was wrong with your phone and the phone company fixed it, without much hassle? And nobody was in a different country speaking a barely intelligable dialect that may or may not be related to English at all? Clearly I need to move to England. ;)
I'm stupendously lucky, really - S'norbans is technically a city (it has a cathedral, which also happens to technically be an abbey and a church at the same time according to the rulebook, and is therefore a city by the same rather wonderful logic that defines a river as a stream wider than a man can jump accross) but is by all rights really actually a town, but despite the fact that it's tiddly enough for me to be able to walk to most places I want to go to it still has three theatres plus school drama studios. None of them are very big, but they do often have some quite cool stuff on - I just need to shift myself and go see them more
( ... )
I now have lots and lots of notes on German Unification.
Anto, I think I love you. Would I be able to borrow them, please, either today, tomorrow or Wednesday? My German presentation on Thursday is about the Berlin Wall. Arg, I feel bad asking, coz it feels like I'm using you, but please? *hopeful smilie*
Damn! Don't worry about it. We timed my presentation and it's about 3 minutes long, and only needs to be 2 minutes, and we added stuff, so it'll be OK.
BOOTS. STOMPING BOOTS. BISMARCK! :D In other words -- I'm so behind on the flist that this is moot now, but how did the German Unification exam go? (And I am envious -- see, I used "envious", not "jealous" :p -- of your note-taking system. How many postcards have you got, anyway?)
Sleep patterns are odd things. If sleep was available on the black market I would probably sell my soul to buy some. Am glad that you're banking against your sleep debt, though -- all of the articles I read on sleep-deprivation tell you that you can't carry over sleep from other days, but personal experience speaks otherwise, honestly. I do the bandana thing too -- well, sort of. I have an actual eye-cover ... which has sparkly moons on it, but when it's covering my eyes I can't see it anyway so it doesn't have the chance to traumatise me! :D
