Elique appears.
Justarias appears.
Elique blinks.
Akyana kneels amongst the stones, taking a deep breath as she prepares herself, the black wolf lingering close at her side. For the briefest of moments an uncertain expression wavers across her features, but then she glances to her aunt and father and smiles. Determination fills her now as she braces herself for the separation from her own bondsmate. Her form seems to flicker as it begins, and all too soon it is over, leaving Akyana sitting there looking a bit unsettled as a fiery winged wolf stands beside her.
Elique stares in awe at her niece and the two bondmates, her jaw dropping slightly. She notes, vaguely, the small details of Akyana as she is seperated from her wolf.
Justarias raises a small brow, silently watching Akyana.
Sarl appears.
Sarl nods.
Akyana rises to her feet slowly, and a bit off balance. The sensation of being apart from her wolf clearly causing her a small bit of distress. She reaches one hand down, resting it atop the fiery head of her bondsmate and whispers a soft word. The wolf nods in acknowledgement and begins to change. Flame fades away, wings seeming to wither from sight. Soon the wolf is seen in a more natural form, a sleek silvery coat covering firm muscles. Akyana's skin flickers with the taint of her flame as her other half joins her once more, the two beasts now separated for the first time in many years. The two wolves touch noses in greeting, then turn their gazes to Elique. Akyana beckons her aunt to stand before her.
Justarias watches, his hands folded into the sleeves of his robe.
Elique carefully makes her way to stand before her niece, eyes moving between the two wolves and Akyana. She smiles faintly, the immense meaning of what is about to happen slowly dawning on her.
Sarl wonders why he brings on character when he knew he only had like ten minutes.
Sarl left the game.
Justarias thinks Sarl is a moron, but what the hell does he know?
Akyana reaches out, taking Elique's hands into her own, her deep green eyes falling shut. She focuses on the things she had previously set into place and awaits what will come. As everyone looks on, the meadow begins to change. Trees growing up from the firmly packed earth, great massive wonders of oak, and ash, and lush greenery. In short time a small glade is formed about the meadow's occupants. From within the seemingly ancient trees step robed and hooded figures, who come forth to circle about the girl and her family. Akyana's eyes flutter open, a smile finding it's way to her lips despite the somberness of the ceremony, her joy at seeing those who raised her nearly overwhelming. She takes a deep breath and waits, for others are to arrive as well. After what seems like several long minutes, more forms appear within the confines of this magic wrought glade, those of elven kind, the others clearly lupine. Soon the glade is filled with family, as the Lyastri come forth, forming their own circle about Elique and Akyana.
Justarias watches as the various family members appear. Justarias seems taken back slightly, his hands burying deeply into his sleeves, "Hmm."
Elique watches Akyana, allowing her own eyes to close for a few moments with her niece's. When her eyes open, a soft gasp passes through her lips as she stares in wonder at the transformed clearing. A slight tremor passes through her as she detects movement and sees the robed beings in the words. Elique glances to Akyana for reassurance, and gets it, noticing the young elf smiling brightly. She turns her head slowly about, watching as being slowly arrive and form a circle about them. She smiles happily, knowing what it means to have a family who cares for her and supports her. She turns her gaze back to Akyana, grinning from ear to ear.
Akyana tenses for a moment as a set of hands come to rest upon her shoulders from behind her. The tallest of the robed figures has stepped forward, the weathered hands on her shoulders are his as he speaks softly to the girl, his features shrouded within the hood of his robes. She listens intently and nods, inclining her head in the direction of her father. The old one nods and reaches into a pocket of his robe, bringing forth a pendant which he places about the half-elf's neck. The amulet is a moonstone, glimmering softly within a simple circle of circle, hanging from a worn leather cord. The stone rests neatly against Akyana's chest, a gasp coming from behind Elique as her mother recognizes the jewelry. Tears well up in Akyana's eyes as she too now realizes what it is she wears, and a look of fierce pride fills her features. The old druid steps back into the circle as the girl finds her voice, her gaze fixating on her aunt before her, "Elique Lyastri, upon this day, comes great change. You have been brought into this family, by choice of an elder, and into this family you shall be bound. This however can be only your choice, and no other. So I hereby ask, Is this your wish, of your own free will and desire, to fully become one of us?"
Justarias stays here, watching. ;)
Justarias left the game.
Elique stares at the moonstone for a moment, hearing Shinnan's gasp and wondering. She raises her gaze back to Akyana's, listening closely. A bright smile crosses her features as she nods to her niece and glances around the circle. "Aye, Aky. I do wish to fully become one of you. I wish more than I have wished for anything in my short life."
Akyana smiles, her gaze drifting to mother, Aunt and Grandmother, "Those here to witness this bonding, you have heard her will and desire, do you hereby accept Elique as one of us, fully in heart, spirit, mind and wolf? A distinct chorus of Ayes can be heard from the family, though the voice of the eldest seems to be a bit choked up. Akyana masks her suprise at the emotional state of her grandmother, not wishing to embarass her, nor encourage her wrath. She pulls one hand from her aunt's, reaching down to rest long digits atop the head of the black wolf. The silver moves around to sit at Elique's side, watching the girl with a gaze that seems filled with a reassuring calm. Soft words fall from the young Lyastri's lips, the language one new to the ears of her aunt before her, but easily recognized by the other Lyastri, and the wolves all about. The black growls softly and steps forth, standing before Elique and watching her with an intent silvery gaze. Another choked gasp sounds from behind Elique, this time the other side where Kesair stands. The vampire watches her old bondsmate with an expression marred with mixed emotions, but finally a soft smile parts her lips. Akyana speaks up again, her own voice trembling as she is caught up in the intense blend of emotions filling the air, "So it has been spoken by one and all, and by the wolf herself. This day, you, Elique Lyastri are one of us, heart, spirit, mind and wolf." The girl releases the other hand she holds and steps back, lowering to her knees with her head bowed. The black wolf takes one step forward, nuzzling Elique's leg softly before vanishing from sight. A silver sheen falls into place across the woman's eyes, and the family waits in silence to see how she takes to her new bondsmate.
Elique can't stop the tear that falls from her eye as she hears the accepting answer from her family. She smiles through her emotion, clenching her teeth to keep bawling at bay. For a moment she fears she won't be able to, hearing the tears and emotion in her adopted mother's answer. She takes a deep breath, glancing down to the silvery wolf at her side, and feels a calming wave wash over her. Her hand tentatively reaches for its head, stroking it once to strengthen herself. Elique listens to Akyana's voice, finding the speech to be lovely but having no clue what is being said. The elf moves her gaze to follow the black wolf, meeting the intense silver eyes with her own. She is only vaguely aware of her sister's gasp and Akyana announcing that she is fully accepted. Her eyes stay trained on her bondsmate's, a nonverbal exchange passing between the two. Elique reaches down to caress the ebony wolf's head as it nuzzles her leg, and gasps softly as the wolf disappears. Instantly, she feels a change about her. She sniffs the air delicately, immediately able to pick up the scents of all her family members. She blinks, turning and glancing about the circle. She detects a faint odor from Kesair, one the wolf tells her is a pregnant scent. The elf smiles slightly as she notices the similarities between Akyana and Shinnan, their scents as matching as their appearances. She continues to breath deep, noting all the animal and druid smells in this glade. She grins slightly, stretching her arms above her head to assure herself that the second occupant in her body doesn't immobilize her in anyway. A soft chuckle escapes her lips as she feels the other's urge to hunt rise within her. She turns back to Akyana, a mischieviously smile on her lips.
Elique growls softly to you.
Akyana 's eyes fill with happy tears as she hears her aunt growl, and returns it with one of her own. She steps forward, wrapping her arms tightly about Elique, whispering quietly, "I am glad you are one of us." Soon three more sets of arms enter the hug as Shinnan, Kesair and Nura come forth, each murmuring their own sentiments to the newest Lyastri. The air is now filled with a joyous sound, the wolves all gathering about the five women, lifting their muzzles skyward as they howl, their song a fierce yet at the same time calming melody.
Elique returns Akyana's embrace, the emotion about to take over her. "Oh, Aky....I am so happy. I finally have a real family." She starts to wipe at her eyes, but is stopped as the others join the hug. She does her best to wrap her arms about all of them, the tears flowing freely as she smile brightly to each in turn. She sniffles, listening to the wonderous melody carried out by the surrounding wolves.
Akyana smiles as she slowly pulls away from the group, allowing her elders to have their moments. The girl turns, eyes seeking out the old druid who approached her earlier. She steps before him, her gaze inquisitive as her fingers flutter to the moonstone about her neck. The druid drops the hood from his head, a smile seen in his eyes if not upon his lips as he looks at the young woman he helped raise from infancy. Weathered hands lift to grasp Akyana's shoulders once more, and she gasps in surprise as he pulls her into a tight hug. All too soon he releases her and takes a step back, finally answering her unspoken question, "The pendant, has always been yours. It was hidden within the blankets we found you in. You are no longer a child, you have grown and learned, and have returned home. Therefore the pendant belongs with you, for it is what you are, my child." Akyana nods and turns, seeking her mother who has moved away from the rest of the family upon hearing the words of the old one. She wraps an arm about her daughter's shoulders, her free hand moving to lift the amulet into trembling fingers as she explains, "The stone, that of our kind, has always been a symbol of who and what we are. The setting it is held within, is special." Turning it over, it becomes clear that there is a rune etched into the surface of the silver. "This setting was made from a bracelet I was given many years ago, to protect me from harm. Now it is yours, to protect you in all that you do." Akyana tilts her head, her expression curious, "Who gave you such a thing?" Her mother replies hesitantly, fearing the girl's reaction, "Seirac, and it protected me from him when I carried your brother and sister." A blink comes from the daughter, and she falls into silence, not knowing how to react.
Elique can't help but watch Akyana with the druid, her curiousity getting the best of her as she pulls out a little from her own celebration. Her mind absorbs these words as her eyes travel over the necklace and gem. She stores these thoughts away from later, planning on working them into her overall idea of this family, Lyastri. She turns back to her sister and mother, returning to the happy atmosphere to give Akyana and Shinnan a few moments together.
Akyana bites her lip, words finally finding her again as she speaks quietly, "With hope it shall protect me as it did you mother." Her mother's eyes show great relief upon hearing this, and the two make their way back to the other women. As the family celebrates the old druid draws his hood over his head, his features once more shrouded within the shadows. Without another word the those who raised the girl step back into the trees, druids and forces of nature all vanishing from sight. The meadow stands now as it was before, with no clue left behind of what overcame it this day.
Elique smiles brightly to Akyana and Shinnan as they come back to the group, hugging each of them again. Her eyes stray to the druid and she watches as he, and the glade, disappears. She blinks, having forgotten for a moment that they started this all at the Silent Stones. She gazes around the clearing, a soft small curling her lip as she knows she will never forget the details of all that has happened.
Akyana places her hands on her hips and looks to her family with a mischief filled grin, "About time for the hunt eh?"
Elique grins to Akyana, nodding as she feels the surge of excitement course through her from her other. "Aye, those are the words I have been waiting to hear."
Akyana grins to Elique, not seeming to notice as her mother and aunt quickly dash off, clearly anxious to hunt. With a nod the girl vanishes, the fiery wolf in her place, wings beating against the air as Akyana's words hang in the air, "Race you to the forest!"
