And a fabulous if crazy Friday it is too! Typical gorgeous Low country morning. Birds singing, wrens building nests out on the screen porch. I think there are two pairs this year. The one in the rafters from last year, and one I swear is building a nest in one of my old wicker baskets that hang from the ceiling. Sweet, cheerful little birds who serenade me every day in exchange for their sheltered nests.
Also closing in on the end of another month. It has been a great month but where has this month gone?!!!
Tomorrow is AJ's birthday. Yep, my baby is going to be 14. And he is almost if not as tall as me, which makes me ridiculously happy. And he doesn't look 13 -- or 14 -- maybe 17?
Planned to make him a golden vanilla cake with chocolate chips between layers and chocolate decorations on top (he doesn't like chocolate cake, but he does like chocolate chips and candy) BUT he called from his friend's to say he wants DONUTS instead of cake. ? Ok.
Got him new handlebar grips for his bike, a holder and a good water bottle to clip on as he rides it everywhere and plays hard and comes home exhausted and thirsty. Also some of his stinky stuff (what passes for cologne with teen boys... Axe?) More to come.
Today, work and housework. Which is fun...and blech. LOL
So let's forget the blech part and get straight to the good part ... Closing in on the end of The Call (Khyr's book) so we need a good fantasy picture to brighten our Friday. How's this?
This chapter ends with moonrise...and this one is gorgeous isn't it?
