Skidding into Sunday sideways...
It has been quite a week. Quite a day. One more day and then it is back to school, plus the next of many attempts at getting the 17 year old into the high school down here. Not looking forward to this new set of hoops.
Meanwhile, on the more interesting writing front...have been working on a crit group partner's edits as she prepares to send her ms out into the publishing world. And enjoying reading another crit partner's ms which is an amazing genre bender.
In Khyr's world he and I are butting heads over a matter of honor. Khyr is a man with a deeply rooted sense of honor and I would never ask him to go against that (much, ha ha... hey, I'm a writer.... we get joy out of tossing our favorites into the worst situations) but the story requires something that seems to be running headlong into his stubborn insistence on honor above all. This could be fun.
Or I'll be stuck for awhile as he runs me in circles to prove I cannot force him to be what he is not.
He always wins....and inspires me to find my own way around the mountain.
