-Amy taking charge! I liked that she was able to ask the right questions and get answers from the computer, as well as give directions to her “companions”. Amy should get the chance to lead more often.
-Brain Williams was interesting. I really wish that we could have gotten more of him and Rory, there hasn’t been enough companion/family interaction in Moffat’s seasons and that’s part of what makes the show so interesting. I think it was a good idea to have the whole traveling conflict, Rory and his dad don’t really understand each other but then they go on an adventure and bond, etc., but it wasn’t developed nearly as well as I’d like. That shot of him sitting in the TARDIS looking down at the Earth was cool, though.
-Honestly it felt like they tried to cram too many plots/characters into this episode. Dinosaurs and funny robots and Rory’s dad doesn’t get it and Queen Nefertiti is feisty and Amy’s still waiting and there’s not nearly enough time to develop any of these ideas properly! I kind of wish they had cut Neffy and Riddell and just focused on the relationship between Rory and his dad, because again that had the potential to be more interesting. Mostly though this episode was a hot mess, but I wasn't really expecting anything else. ::sigh::
-STOP with the innuendos.
