...I post a LOT on LJ regarding random web finds. Like youtube videos!!
And one of them happen to be Julia Nunes--an amazingly quirky eukelele player. I'm not a big fan of her originals, and I am sure there are more talented musicians out there, but what got me posting her youtube vid is her personality. She's just fun to watch!
So below is a video made purely from photobooth (oh, the wonders of owning a mac) for one of her original songs. Man, I wish I could be as creative (or as hard working... coz this took 2 days of posing and button-clicking to make):
and her cover of Aqualung's Brighter than Sunshine, which is one of my favorite songs evar. I love how she also shared her school's reaction to Obama's win at the end of the video, simply because it gave me an idea how sincerely hopeful some Americans are. And that's a great thing after the depression that was Bush, isn't it? I can only hope that we Filipinos can expect something like this to happen in the 2010 elections. After all, GMA = equally horrible, if not more so than Bush... but I digress.
