I...I have no words

My reaction to last night's Office: OMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMG.

This morning's reaction to last night's Office: OMGOMGOMG.

Where do I even begin? Oh, Michael. I love Michael the most and this was the most heartbreaking episode of all time for him. The show brings EVERYTHING OUT IN THE OPEN. I am amazed. Business!Jan comes back! I missed her and I finally loved her again for realsies. I love how they cover the entire Michael/Jan relationship from the first time they met and shook hands (6 years and 2 months), from the first time they kissed to the first time they kissed sober (!!), Sandals (6 times! notice the repeating 6), Cocktails and all the way up to The Job and presently. Bringing out the picture that I thought was lost from Sandals is WOW, secret genius show anyone? Bringing out the PICTURE FRAMED contract is even better. Bringing out THE DIARY? Holy SHIT. And it makes perfect sense for Michael but it is the most personal thing in the world to Michael and to show that to everyone really is betrayal. I can understand why Jan did it in wanting to win at all costs, money issues aside this goes all the way back to The Job. But WOW. Notice that Michael still defends Jan even after that. And they say I love you but in a completely un-cliche way which I just loved. And then they bring out the PERFORMANCE REVIEW where Jan finally speaks the truth. But what a blow to Michael (TWSS). And then Jan brings out how Michael was never considered from The Job :( Poor Michael gets hurt by both sides :( And in the end Michael has to choose Dunder-Mifflin because the pattern they treated him with was always with respect while Jan has not treated him that way in terms of pattern and it's only recently that she's been much better to him. Oh, Michael.

Other OMG things: TWSS!! I said it right with him because how perfect it was? And it was hilarious how no one understood it (except Jan and Toby). And TOBY HATE! Wow. When Michael said he'd never be on his side. And then TOBY GETTING MICHAEL'S DIARY!! Everyone :( Must be one of the worst days for Michael. The cafeteria scene killed me dead with sadness. Ryan gettng it too and everyone and him having to sit with Toby and having to ASK. Holy shit. This must be a really bad middle school flashback for him. And if there's one thing I like better than Toby hate, it's Toby love. When he treats Michael nicely, when they can have a real conversation (see Take Your Daughter to Work Day) then it is just the sweetest thing for me. But Toby's love comment was just too much to take so knocking his tray off the table was perfect. And then RYAN! That Michael thinks he's as hot as Jan (in a different way!) finally comes out. Which fits so well because it isn't just about what they look like but that Michael is attracted to their business focus, ambition and professionalism and how smart they are. Someone mentioned on my Flist that M/J is best when they focus on heart vs. head and I entirely agree with that which is why this episode was so good. And the last David Wallace and Michael scene was so sweet because in the end Michael loves Dunder-Mifflin and they have been kind of him overall.

I also loved the ping pong plot but it seemed so small compared to EVERYTHING COMING OUT IN THE OPEN FOR MICHAEL that it was hard to pay attention to. I looove Kelly and it was nice to see her back and Pam was awesome. Dwight helping Jim instead of Jim playing a prank was also refreshing to see. Dwight vs. Mose was the best ending ever for this episode. No words, just silence. Because really, what else can you say about this episode? They really outdid themselves here. Sometimes their is no need for comedy when the drama overwhelms it. I LOVED this episode if you couldn't tell and am amazed at how GOOD this show is.

Lester Lewis, welcome to The Office family! I salute you, new writer. That was amazing. How am I going to live without this show? I really don't know. Ugly Betty (Marc, how are you so awesome and hilarious?) and Scrubs were both wonderful too but it's hard for me to concentrate on them when I have my show airing and being insanely too good. If they intended to BLOW MY MIND in order to get me to forget that this is the last episode for who knows how long then they certainly did their jobs. And now I wish this strike wold be over and the writers could get all the money they deserve (times infinity) because I love TV so much and all the things it can do. It's art, it's entertainment, it's love.
