We had to celebrate Eden's birthday early because I am leaving for Basic Training. She was clear what she wanted for a party months ago: a spa party with just a few friends. Today would have been my father's 74th birthday.  Actually there is some debate over my father's actual date of birth.  At one point I recall hearing a story that he was born on October 13 and that his mother (Princess Anderson) thought it would be unlucky so she said his birthday was the 12th - apparently, this was a common practice.  Carson's ( Read more... )

The main reason I was in town this time was Carson's birthday. I also wanted to see how he and Eden were transitioning into their new classrooms. Last year Carson went to ELC so kindergarten really felt like an extension of pre-school. This year he is at public school. He is still awaiting his testing and services, but so far so good, really.
