Oru Malaii?

I was going to finish cutting out the pieces for one of the skirts I'm making, but then I realized that I had foiled myself: the living room floor is covered in neatly labelled boxes of National Geographic magazines. *sigh* Looks like it's time to shelve things.

Jake and I drove up to Stanford this afternoon to meet the Brother Person and the Parental Units for dinner. The Brother Person is part of Raagapella, Stanford's all male South-East Asian a capella group, and they were doing a family and friends night concert. That was fun. Brother Person is the tallest and whitest member. XD I can see why he enjoys it, though - everyone looked like they were having tons of fun. Of course, there's also the part where he gets to talk to people who speak all kinds of unusual languages.

The Sister Person, meanwhile, informed our parents by text that she was going out for dinner with a senior boy. He is, apparently, all legal to drive and has his own car. Had I tried something like that, I think my parents would have exploded in a fit of irritated concern. Instead, my parents were rolling their eyes and laughing about it. Youngest siblings! You all get away with everything! *shakes fist* So now I am dying of curiosity, and completely unable to ask about it. o_o I compromised by sending her a mostly-innocuous text message in which I expressed the hope that she was having a tasty dinner. She replied with "Yep. :)" *flails* Must not bother sister....

I need ideas for linoleum blocks. I have six tiny (2x3 and 4x6 inch) linoleum blocks, and so far I have an idea for one (a woodrat. Hardly surprising.) Anyone have anything they want to see carved? I would send you a print! (Hopefully non rodent. I'm trying to branch out slightly. :P)
