Recs! Recs everywhere!
I'm leaving monday morning and... I guess I'm loading up the fannish time until then ;-P
I might get net access while I'm away, but I doubt I'll be able to do much surfing (plus I won't have privacy) so... Fic recs!
Let's go in chronological order, mkay? Three fics by nwhepcat
The Geometry of Innocent Flesh on the Bone, R, SPN/BtVS crossover. "Hey Sam, it's Bobby again. Heard about that nest of Vampires in Austen...". Mystery Spot Sam meets Xander. I started reading this story some time ago, but gave up on it half-way through because I didn't feel familiar enough with the BtVS side. Tonight I read two SPN stories by this author and decided to check out the crossover again. Maybe it's a question of mood because it sucked me right in this time and wouldn't let me go. If nothing else, the outside pov on Sam is worth it.
Grace, R, SPN. Set around 4.10. Dean and Anna and every thing in between.
Vessel, R, SPN. You guessed it, it's another Castiel's vessel story. Not only the structure is interesting (it's 19 drabbles), but the story itself is compelling and something that could totally be canon. Now I don't know if I prefer this one or vanillafluffy 's anymore! But the nice thing about fandom is that you can eat your cake and... wait. Well, I can keep both fics, so there ;-P
You know, if we get to have more Castiel on the show (I realize it would have to be a whole lot of him for this to be possible, but I'd be down with it ;-P) I wonder if we'll get any more canon information about the "devout man", or even his story. If it means no more fics like this then keep the mystery Show!
