NaBloPoMo #15
1. We had a pancake breakfast at church this morning. We hadn't done something like this in at least five years. We should do this more often. The food was good and people had a nice time; we even had some folks from the neighborhood stop by. Apparently the organizers made 250 flyers and blanketed the neighborhood with them, and I think that helped. Anyway we got up at 6:30 today (oww) and were at the church by about 8:20 a.m. and left around 10 a.m. DD spent the rest of the morning at friend CH's house; they had both helped serve food this morning.
2. Tonight DD and I are going to a karaoke party at the home of some friends from church. I think the last time we did this was probably last March? Maybe earlier. I remember there was snow on the ground. Anyway, I've been looking forward to. I'm glad it didn't snow today (yet). *crosses fingers*
3. I wish my supermarket would stop remodeling. Every time I go there, I have to relearn where all the frozen foods are. The supermarket closed down its video store a few months ago (hence our move to Netflix) and also got rid of its little area of picture frames, scrapbook supplies etc. Opening up these two areas resulted a lot of reshuffling inside the store. Very confusing. I hope it ends soon.
4. I'm watching a documentary on MSNBC about the People's Temple. Jim Jones. Guyana. Anyone else remember that stuff? Wow, that's almost 30 years ago.
5. Mr. Annearchy is making empanadas for dinner. My stomach is rumbling. I hope they're ready soon.
6. CRAP!!! I missed David Cook on Leno last night. I just plain forgot he was on until 11:35 when 54321sherry (with whom I was IMing) said, "Turn to NBC". By that time I did, DC and his band were done :( Thank goodness for YouTube. I can blame Miley Cyrus for some of this; when I saw her on Leno I changed the channel to Letterman. Sorry, Miley, but there was already another Miley Cyrus; her name was Britney Spears.
